Our $89 prix fixe tea service is offered Tuesday through Sunday.

Lady Mendl's is an unconventionally chic tea salon housed within a Georgian brownstone in the Gramercy Park neighborhood of Manhattan. An opulent five-course tea is served in an eclectic and whimsical parlor by a doting staff. Patrons sip tea from hand culled vintage Wedgwood teacups as they nibble dainty finger sandwiches and house baked scones.

Please note that our entrance is only accessible via a staircase of 10 steps. We do not have an elevator.

    Located within The Inn at Irving Place, Lady Mendl's is housed in a Victorian style salon. Our private parties can accommodate up to 65 guests for a seated event and 75 guests for a cocktail party. In addition, our martini lounge, Cibar, is located on the ground floor and can also be used for private events or combined with the Lady Mendl's Salon. We are a beautiful location for destination weddings, bridal or baby showers, cocktail parties, and corporate events. Please complete an inquiry on our website for specific pricing.

    Each reservation includes a complimentary glass of Moët & Chandon Champagne. Our Mother's Day 6-course prix fixe menu is paired with unlimited tea and features seasonal treats including tea sandwiches, chocolate covered strawberries, gâteau de crêpes and warm scones. This event is only offered once a year, making it a special afternoon to celebrate and be remembered as the highlight of your Mother's Day. Call to inquire for additional gifting including florals delivered to your table created by our in-house Florist or a box of hand-dipped chocolates to take home by our Pastry Chef.

    Floral notes of Bergamot, exceptional combination of Darjeeling, Assam, Chinese, and Sri Lankan teas, sprayed with the oil of Bergamot has been satisfying our customers for generations

    • English Breakfast

      These medium sized leaves produce a copper liquid that has a bright and fragrant cup. The tea is smooth and full-bodied with a malty aftertaste that stands up to a splash of milk or lemon

      • Moroccan Mint Green

        Transport yourself to a land of desert sands, caravans and palm tree filled oasis, with Moroccan Mint a delicious blend of spearmint and green tea. The green tea unfurls into large leaves, with a pale ecru cup and a strong minty flavor

        • Creamy Toasted Coconut - Oolong

          This delightfully light tea brews to an ecru color and has the taste of baked goodies with an undertone of an earthly oolong. The rich exotic aroma is accompanied by the smooth, delicious taste of coconut macaroon with vanilla accents

          • Wonderland Rooibos (Decaf)

            A wonderful blend of green rooibos with cacao and cinnamon and flavored with Bavarian chocolate, cinnamon and hazelnuts. It brews to a golden cup with the delicious aroma and taste of cinnamon baked goodies

              A lemony blend that combines organic lemon peel, organic lemongrass, organic lemon balm, and lemon verbena with natural lemon flavor

                                                  Wonderful experience! The staff is very welcoming, and the service was impeccable. The tea pairing with food is such a unique idea. My friend and I loved it! Beautiful ambiance and decor as well.

                                                  I love the place, the whole experience there, as do all the friends who went there with me. What I personally value the most, besides the beauty of the place and the quality of the food and teas, and the flavors, is that our senses are not overloaded: we can listen to each other and chat well, catch up, discuss, what a luxury in this day and age! Same with the gentle lights and the nice windows that allow day light in too: it feels wonderful to be able to relax instead of lunch meaning one more stress and aggression!!! Awesome! Will always come back :-)))

                                                  In a beautiful brownstone, tucked away we found Lady Mendls. There were four of us ladies and we devoured the delicious tea sandwiches, scones and sweet treats. You have the option of tea pairings with each course (5!). I have not had an experience like that and I really enjoyed it. Their service was excellent and attentive. The food was creative and plentiful. Presentation was beautiful too. Loved the entire experience and will absolutely be back!

                                                  The service here is top notch. Really amazing. The food was a mixed bag. Sandwiches a bit too dry and bland. Scones a bit too sweet to be followed by a heavy dessert and more sweet treats. They have some really nice teas, especially the coconut flavored one. Beautiful setting, but we were in a rather dull corner where I couldn’t see anything but the wall even though it was a very quiet afternoon.

                                                  A lovely tea experience. We did the full menu and honestly we spent hours and did not want to leave. This is a treasure. Beautiful decor, tea cups and plates. The details are wherever the eye travels. I can’t wait to go back.
