   I have always loved Caprice Bistro. The food was always excellent. Never ever had a bad dinner. Very consistent. The waiting staff was always top notch. The original owners and chef have sold Caprice, but the Sous chef has taken over and is cooking everything exactly the same! However, the waiter we had tonight drove us nuts! A good waiter does not interrupt the customers when they are deep in a conversation. We were "pestered" with "are ya'lll ready to order?" over and over. Conversations were constantly interrupted. Take a first bite, and immediately he said "how is everything?" Really? The customer shouldn't have to ask the waiter to bring pepper, the waiter should ask if you would like fresh pepper. I love an attentive waiter, however that also means to watch when the customer is ready to order (usually they put down the menu), don't interrupt conversations, ask to remove dishes when the customer is FINISHED EATING, and stop prodding the customer to finish signing the credit card receipt. Treat the customer special and they will in turn treat you with a generous tip.

   We were so happy to come back to one of our favorite restaurants, under new management, only to find out that it is just as wonderful as ever. The menu has remained the same as the once sous chef has now taken over as chef. We were seated for our reservation immediately. Service, with Sinjin(¿) our server, was fabulous, and the food was, as always, spectacular. Will be back again and again!

   Caprice never disappoints. Besides a delicious cuisine, Caprice is also 100% consistent. Need a quick trip to Paris? Just head downtown Wilmington. Caprice has it all…the food, ambiance, service and staff!

   This restaurant never disappoints. It’s so delicious and the ambience upstairs is great! It’s my favorite restaurant in Downtown Wilmington!!

   We have been going to Caprice Bistro several times a year for 10 years. The experience on March 21 I am afraid was not so great. We had to send back one of the entrees because the steak was way overcooked, which just meant we didn't have our 2 entrees together. To their credit though the second time the entree was just right. Service was kind of slow. All else about it was great.

   This was our first visit to Caprice Bistro and it won't be our last. From beginning to end, our dining experience was nothing but excellent. We were seated in a lovely window seat and were quickly greeted by our waiter, Elliot. The interior of the Bistro was designed as if it had been plucked out of a street in Europe and set down here in Wilmington, from the artwork on the walls to the Battenburg lace curtains at the window. We began our meal with escargot, which was delicious, and a wonderful salad. For our main entre, I had the salmon and my husband ordered the duck confit. Every bite was delicious, and coupled with the discreet presence of Elliot, our evening was quite enjoyable. This is how dining should be.

    We went for Mussels Monday but we were blown away by the leek gratin before the amazing mussels arrived. Wonderful food, service and ambience!
