   My girlfriend and I wanted to celebrate our first year of dating, so we spent an evening in Chicago. I knew of Quartino from previous travels, and thought it would be perfect for us. I was not wrong. Our server, Terra, deserves an enormous amount of praise for making us feel welcomed and comfortable from the minute we sat down at our table. She was funny, kind, professional, and extremely knowledgeable. She answered our many questions with grace and good humor, and helped us build a delicious meal and evening from start to finish. Every bit of food we had was amazing. We especially loved the white bean and garlic spread, the oricchetti pasta, and the coppa banana dessert. The limoncello was amazing. All of these were recommended by Terra. Thank you! We will be back!

   Made a reservation over a month ago for my sisters bachelorette party. We arrived on time and our table wasn’t ready. They said 10/15 minutes to wait. However it turned into over an hour wait which is ridiculous when we had a reservation. We were told they were “very sorry” and the manager would stop by to personally talk to us and “take care of us”. The manager never came by. And “taking care of us” was apparently the server giving us a round of disgusting and tiny lemon shots. Horrible customer service and extremely disappointed. Half the party didn’t even drink, so it was a thoughtless and rude gesture. Ruined what was supposed to be a fun night for my sister.

   The restaurant was overbooked. Plates and Glasses were not clean. We had to keep on reminding everything to waiter about our order. WORST experience ever!! It took them an hour to just make 4 pizzas and plus an hour more after our reservation time for us to get a table.

   The restaurant was extremely loud and crowded with groups. We were a party of two and sat at a table that was filled with 10 extra plates. Our server was not especially personable. The servers kept delivering the wrong food items. Our appetizer of burrata came out fast and was good. For the entrees, only one was served and the other entree did not come out for 15 to 20 minutes. We complained and no one seemed yo know what was going on. We finally got the second entree and I was able to grab another entree from a server, a bit unwillingly, as the other one got cold while waiting. The pasta was basic and okay. The server was apologetic and gave us the second entree and 2 desserts for free

   We usually love coming to Quartino but this experience was different. We were put in an upstairs back room that was freezing, and when we asked to move to a different room (the rest of the restaurant was much warmer) we were given a table an inch away from our original seat. The service was also bad, my pasta dish never came and the waiter kept saying it was probably lost or sitting somewhere and basically pushed us to just forget about it. My boyfriend ordered a drink and it never came, when we got the bill we had been charged for that drink (the waiter took it off once we brought it to his attention). We didn’t get anything comped from the bill for waiting an hour+ for a dish that never came, at least a free appetizer or drink would’ve been nice. The waiter kept insisting the kitchen was overwhelmed - but to just ignore that I’d never gotten food and the fact that our drink order was also never received is a little bit ridiculous. Again, we come here a lot but this experience has put us off from coming again.
