   A culinary gem in Escondido! Not cheap but worth it - the asparagus beet salad is beautiful and delicious. The service was outstanding. Highly recommend!

   Superb. Out server was a pleasure...friendly, attentive, and had a command of the menu and wine list. The seafood linguine, new to the menu was great. The shrimp were huge and the sauce just right. The double boned pork chop was delicious. Minor comment: the mixed drink was a bit skimpy so I went to the extensive wine menu.

   I was hoping to fall in love. . Esco has zero good restaurants. I mean absolutely zero. Some thoughts about Collette’s/ Hunsakers- Please season the food more, very bland. And very expensive for what you get. May I suggest baby carrots with the filet instead of sliced horse carrots. Food was average at best, service a bit better, and we were one of two tables dining, so ambiance was questionable. Lose the chargers and napkin rings. Again, was hoping this would be our spot in Esco, but it missed.

   Thank you for giving us a try Michael. I will ask the farmers if they can pull the carrots a little earlier so they are more size appropriate. I will pass on your seasoning suggestion, we would have happily accommodated you had we been aware. We appreciate the support that you gave by coming in and I know our farmers do too, eating real food can seem to have an impact on the pocket book, but the alternative has a bigger impact on ones health. Road closures, construction and weather can affect a business. I am sorry you had to experience that. If you'd like to give us another try, just reach out and we will be prepared for you.

   Everything we ordered was unique but very accessible and very delicious. Love that they use produce from local farms. Pricier than a lot of restaurants so we won’t be going as often as we’d like, but we will definitely return.

   Hi Kate! Thank you for coming in, we are so happy you enjoyed your experience. In addition to local produce, we also get a lot of our proteins locally when possible and always from a farm. We will be starting a happy hour with tapas style appetizers this summer, so I hope we can see you soon and often.

   I liked that they had locally sourced food and the schnitzel was quite good.

   Great little high end restaurant. Conveniently located in downtown Escondido although currently the road is under construction. No noise in the evening, however. Nicely decorated for ambiance. The staff is so friendly and nice. Casey was our waiter. Excellent service. The food, ( this was a pre-designed meal for Valentine’s Day) was outstanding. It came out in 6 courses, I think. Steak and lobster was very good as the main course. Cocktails were great! It was a bit pricey but other than that, a great experience.

    Overall the experience was okay. I do appreciate the engagement with local farmers to curate the menu but I felt that some of the dishes were missing a pop. Additionally it is fairly expensive which I typically don't mind if I find I am getting value from the price tag.
