They act like you’re annoyed you’re eat at their restaurant from the second you walk in to the service at the table. Our server made a weird comment about not wanting to replace our silverware after we enjoyed the appetizer and salad before entrees. We had to ask again because she refused the first time. The food was mid. $200 for 4 people, no alcohol. I have been to their other concepts and had a way better experience. Our reservation was at 8pm and hardly any tables by the time we left. Iced tea wasn’t refilled until we asked, water went empty. Just mid and pass.

Ate at the bar downstairs. The bartender who took our order had to come back after five minutes and ask how my date wanted her steak cooked. He seemed to be distracted and there were three people behind the bar. Each time they walked by they looked straight ahead avoiding eye contact.

love this place but not on busy days like fathers day. my over easy eggs were rubber but they did remake them i just got them at the end. Our waiter was also waiting on a table of 20 so getting additional drinks was a challenge. Just wasn’t the quality of food and service we have had there before. I won’t book another special occasion there. They were not equipped with staff for how busy they were.

It was so disappointing for Father’s Day. Only one server for part of the time we didn’t order our food (did get drinks) for almost 40 minutes after we arrived. There were four of us and each of our orders were wrong or completely missing something. Only partially fixed and otherwise not worth waiting for the issue to be corrected as we were all hungry. Arrived at 9:30 and left at noon. It was very disappointing

Well, that was disappointing. We've only had drinks and appetizers in the cellar in the past because the vibe down there is very nice. But 6 of us had dinner down there and were pretty unhappy with the overall experience. The ambiance is still great, but the waiter had a bit of an attitude right from the first hello, and seemed impatient with us. The food was just ok, and a bit too spicy hot for some at the table. We ordered cream brule for desert, and it was soupy, like it wasn't cooked enough. Since they are made with eggs, we were afraid to eat it. We might come back in the future to enjoy the cellar bar just for the atmosphere, but definitely won't be back for dinner.

FAQs

Yes, Rokerij is a popular choice for date night. Guests frequently praise its cozy, dimly lit booths, intimate downstairs Cellar Bar and eclectic music that create a romantic vibe. The menu focuses on steaks, chops and fresh fish with generous portions, making it great for a special evening. Note: some guests report loud tables or occasional service slowdowns on busy nights, so consider an early reservation or asking for a quiet booth or the downstairs bar when booking.

Rokerij serves brunch on weekends and offers dinner daily. Brunch: Saturday–Sunday 9:00 am–3:00 pm. Dinner: Daily 3:00 pm–12:00 am. For reservations: note that bookings are for parties of four or more per the owner information, it’s a good idea to call for large groups or holiday service.

Aim for early dinners or weekend brunch for a more relaxed experience. Guests praise Sunday and weekend brunch (Cellar Bar with Trey is popular), and early evening seats can be pleasant. Evenings, holidays and weekend prime times can be busy and noisy, several guests report rushed service or table turn pressures on crowded nights. If you prefer a quieter visit, try a weekday evening or an early seating and call ahead.

Yes, it’s best to call ahead. Guests report occasionally leaving notes for birthdays or special requests, but recognition can be inconsistent, so phoning before your visit is recommended. The staff will usually accommodate dietary needs or celebration requests when notified, but follow up by phone to confirm details (especially for birthdays or allergies).

Casual dress is the stated dress code, so smart-casual attire is appropriate. Many guests dine here for special occasions, so you’ll fit in well with neat casual or slightly dressy outfits.

Yes, families do dine here and guests frequently bring teens or celebrate birthdays with children. The menu leans toward steaks, chops and New Mexican flavors rather than a kids’ menu, so younger children may prefer simpler or shared plates. Consider an early seating or call ahead to discuss kid-friendly options.

Rokerij offers several distinct areas: an upstairs bar (watch food being prepared), oversized booths for cozy dining, and a downstairs Cellar Bar with a speakeasy vibe. Guests also mention a patio area for outdoor seating on pleasant nights. There is no private dining according to owner info, so inquire about special seating when you book.

Families do dine here and it’s commonly used for celebrations, so Rokerij is family-friendly in that sense. Guests often bring teens and celebrate birthdays in booths or the downstairs bar. The restaurant has oversized booths and a downstairs Cellar Bar that can suit groups. For accessibility (wheelchair access, specific seating needs) there isn’t clear public information, call the restaurant ahead so staff can confirm accessible seating and accommodate any needs.

There’s no public note about a formal waiting list, but Rokerij is often busy and guests report table-turn pressures and waits on peak nights. Because of demand, reservations are recommended, especially for weekends or special occasions, and arriving early or calling ahead can help. If you expect a wait, ask the host about the current policy when you arrive.

Portions at Rokerij tend to be generous. Multiple guests mention hearty, large servings, appetizers and entrees are often substantial, so many people share plates or leave with leftovers. That said, a few guests found some dishes heavy or greasy. Expect full portions, especially for steaks, chops and New Mexican-style plates.

Sunday (brunch) and weekday evenings are both strong choices depending on your goal. Guests rave about Sunday brunch and the Cellar Bar experience, while weekday or early-week dinners tend to be less crowded for a quieter meal. Weekend dinner service offers atmosphere but can be noisy, pick a weekday or Sunday brunch if you want a more relaxed visit.

The atmosphere is warm, dimly lit and intimate with eclectic music, many guests call it cozy and perfect for special occasions. The downstairs Cellar Bar has a speakeasy, lively vibe while upstairs can feel more open near the bar and kitchen. Be aware it can get loud on busy nights; some guests found it hard to hear at crowded tables.

Rokerij appears to operate daily for dinner (3:00 pm–12:00 am) and offers weekend brunch, and guests have dined there on holidays like Mother’s Day. However, specific holiday hours aren’t listed, call the restaurant ahead of a public holiday to confirm hours and make reservations.

Busiest: weekend evenings, holidays (e.g., Mother’s Day) and prime dinner hours, guests frequently note crowded, loud nights and occasional staffing strains. Quietest: weekday evenings and early dinners can be calmer; weekend brunch or the cellar bar during off-peak times may also be more relaxed. If you prefer quiet, try a weekday or an early seating and call ahead.

Yes, guests mention a patio option, so outdoor seating is available on pleasant days. If you prefer patio seating, call ahead to request it when you make your reservation since availability may vary by night and weather.
