Il Poggio has always been one of our go-to restaurants in Snowmass Village, but we'd read some recent reviews that referred to higher prices and smaller portions under new management. The prices are indeed Snowmass-high but not out of proportion to other similar dining experiences here. I ordered the Duroc pork chop ($44) which was actually TWO pork chops, each about 1" thick, with a generous portion of roasted sweet potatoes and steamed asparagus. We'll be back next visit.

Il Poggio appears to have undergone a management revamp, evident in its updated menu, pricing, and staff. We initially made four dinner reservations there but changed our plans after the first evening. The menu has changed significantly, with prices much higher than before—most notably, the least expensive bottle of Chardonnay now costs $72, offering limited options. My husband tried a pasta dish but didn't finish, remarking that it wasn't up to the standard he remembered. On the other hand, my salad was delicious. We also noticed that all the staff were new faces. Fortunately, we discovered a couple of new restaurants in Snowmass Village. These places had reasonable prices, including bottles of excellent Chardonnay priced lower than Il Poggio. The food was delightful, and we thoroughly enjoyed our dinners there.

Disappointed in the quality of the cocktails and the pasta entrees. Even the ‘bread for two’ was pretty disappointing considering other options at Snowmass (such as Italian at Sam’s).

We got the bums rush after 2 hours. We were rushed through the courses and then told we had to go while eating our dessert. When we asked about this they explained that they are not a fine dining restaurant, (despite $80 entrees and $160 bottles of wine. )

Wonderful experience from start(er of a bread plate) to finish (well-brewed coffee and sorbet). The evening special salmon dish was perfectly cooked and presented, and the atmosphere and service were comfortable and respectfully attentive. The only thing I regret is not staying in Snowmass long enough to become a regular!

The food quality was disappointing, as we have been dining here for years and have always enjoyed the food in the past. Our $50 bowl of cacio Pepe with truffle was hardly gourmet, it looked and tasted like a bowl of Mac and cheese with a few truffle shavings on top. Basically tasteless. The gnocchi was disappointing and tasteless as well. The waitress was too busy to notice us and was rushing us through our meal. I don’t plan to come back anytime too soon.

Great place to have dinner with company or to have a romantic date. Very flavorful food, good service and some tables have amazing sunset and Mountain View.

We did not get good service from our waiter. So disappointing. We were so excited to go. It was St. Patrick’s Day and we all dressed up. Our waiter had bad body odor and didn’t seem to know the specials and menu very well.

The most expensive pasta on the menu is $48 (adding protein is extra) and prepared in a cheese wheel, which seemed cool. One person in our party of 5 tried it and we all had a bite. None of us were impressed. My sons were disappointed in the size of that their ravioli portion, 6 pieces. The gnocchi was the entree winner at our table. We also ordered the funghi pizza as appetizer and that was quick and delicious. Service was super slow but it is peak.
