Since 2006, The LakeHouse restaurant has been the jewel of Bay Shore, NY. In the summer of 2016, owners Eileen & Matthew Connors and Jay Gut moved locations to a brand new dockside treasure. With stunning views and multiple fireplaces, comfortable seating for 100+ guests, two lounge areas, deck overlooking the Great South Bay, and both an indoor tavern room and a waterfront bar, The Lakehouse is touted by many as “one of the best restaurants on Long Island.” At night, the deck is illuminated, as is the waterfront lounge area where guests can congregate for after-dinner cocktails. This New American fine dining experience is not to be missed. The Lakehouse can now be reached by boat as well, as guest dockage is available at the new gorgeous bayside locale.

The food and ambiance were good. We were disappointed that our reservation indicated that it was our wedding day but nothing was mentioned or acknowledged. Despite that, we enjoyed our meal.

We went for brunch . I had the vegetable salad . It had creamed mushrooms, goat cheese asparagus and fried egg. On the side was a salad and toast. The food was amazing. The service was friendly and accommodating. My boyfriend had the eggs Benedict. We accompanied are meal with Bloody Mary s Great meal.

I love the Lakehouse for the food and overall ambience. Service was very good and accommodating. My only feedback would be that when we first sat down, we were not given the drink menu, and it took a bit for our waiter to arrive with the drink menu and take our drink order. The restaurant was not busy yet at that time so that could have been better. But overall, I would return again.

This was not the first time I had dinner at The Lake House. Everything we ordered from appetizers to desserts was excellent. The price fix menu offered a variety of choices. Will definitely return.
