We had an early reservation on a Tuesday so the restaurant was fairly quiet but still had a good buzz. From greeter to getting the bill, the service was excellent; friendly and attentive but not pushy. The food wasn’t exceptional but portions were a good size. I had the soup starter and tagliatelle vongole and my companion also had a pasta dish and some sides. The sound level was perfect for table talk and I’d highly recommend this restaurant as a place for friends to have a casual dinner where having the ability to chat is important! Will definitely return.

This location of Da Andrea is absolutely *not* wheelchair-accessible, despite what is stated here and on other review sites. There's a large step up to enter, and they do not have a portable ramp, alternative entrance, or other workaround. But they do have a blue access decal on their front door! I am a wheelchair user, who had a reservation on April 8, 2025. I made plans with a friend here, in part because Open Table stated it was accessible. When I made my reservation, I stated clearly that I am a wheelchair user. When I got to the location and saw the step *and* the access decal, I expected that they had a ramp or alternative way into the restaurant. But nope! Apparently, someone thought the decal was a nice decoration? There are tables outside, but that in itself doesn't make an establishment accessible. It was extremely cold and windy on the day of my reservation. Would they expect people to sit outside in a thunderstorm, for example? (Again, I stated in my reservation that I'm a wheelchair user. They could have called me ahead of time to explain the situation and make sure I was okay with it. But again—nope.) All that said, the big reason that I'm taking the time to leave such a negative review is that the staff didn't care. When my friend went inside to explain the situation, their response was basically to shrug. They didn't even have the courtesy to have someone come out and apologize to both of us. Had they done so, I would have discussed ways for them to improve, instead of leaving a negative review. But they didn't. A big thumbs down for the lack of service and consideration. And look, I am a native New Yorker, so I get that there are restaurants that just aren't accessible. I'm not mad about the lack of access; it's that you would advertise yourself as accessible when you clearly aren't. At a minimum, stop telling review sites that you're accessible, ensure your staff have some basic courtesy, and get rid of that massively deceptive access decal.
