   Lovely Sunday lunch, the monkfish was excellent, very pleasant dining room. Relaxed and comfortable dining. Only gave service 4* as they forgot my tea!

   Lovely venue for Sunday lunch. Tasty roast beef and succulent pork eaten in a beautiful setting. Our guests were very impressed. We look forward to returning soon.

   Our first visit but won’t be our last! Lovely bright rooms excellent service from staff. We went for lunch which was excellent and a glass of fizz for my husband whose birthday it was is a nice touch. Only suggestion from me, if I was pushed, a couple more choices on lunch menu. But whole experience was excellent.

   The positives, lovely venue, happy staff and availability to book at short notice. On the flip side, we waited 25 minutes for food after being seated for our tea and the very polite waiter told me there would be other flavours of sandwiches on the stand after I told him I don't like salmon. When it arrived my mum ate the salmon sandwiches and I ate the cheese. No exception to my request! The scones were hands down amazing! The chef's cakes were average and we left them after tasting them, I looked at the other tables and they'd done the same. Overall, a special venue but feels too big for the amount of customers that were actually in on the day - it felt empty with not much atmosphere.

Naturally it's disappointing to understand there were some issues with the sandwich choices and cakes.    We went for the fish & chip supper and were very pleased, it was cooked to perfection with a lovely light crispy batter. Everything was really good and we will definitely be coming back with family and friends. The service was perfect and it was nice and quiet. We enjoyed it very much. Thanks to the staff & the chief.

   Took my mum for afternoon tea for her birthday. Staff were lovely, really exceptional service. Delicious food and fantastic value for money.

    Service was lovely as usual , food was delicious, 4 of us Had 3 courses and we all loved our food , great choice on the wine list as well
