   It was not the first time in this restaurant, however it was the first time reserving through OpenTable - to our surprise we got seated in a back room (did not know about it) - with an entrance right across from the bathrooms You could get a chemical cleaner smell from the bathroom (not ideal to say the least) - the music from the front you could barely hear, but in exchange the background noise from other tables conversations in the room was echoing When asked on what criteria are people with reservations seated in front or in the back , because on OpenTable appears just one option (standard) we were told that we are supposed to call if we want to seat in the front So if you want a table in the front just call them

   Petite Vie is an excellent restaurant for its food and service but, given the prices, also a "special occasion" place. A $21 price tag for a Manhattan--even one made with Maker's Mark--is excessive. I was also surprised that, for a place so "classy," the background music was raucous rock. Fortunately, the volume level was not ear-splitting, but the choice of music cut against the grain of the restaurant. Finally, the tables were a tad too close together. However, to reiterate, the food (lamb for my dining companion, pork for myself) and service were outstanding, and I'd be happy to pay a return visit.

   Easter dinner was perfect, as any meal here is. However, the lamb loin was even beyond our expectations! Everything I’ve ever ordered here is exceptional.

   Wonderful service and our meal was fantastic! The oysters are delicious and perfectly shucked with a mignonette so well balanced that let the oysters shine. Our entrees - halibut and lamb special - I recommend highly. The ultimate ending was our dessert. We had chocolate soufflé and cafe au lait ice cream and the most fun taste adventure of the chartreuse flight. We learned so much about green and yellow chartreuse and enjoyed getting a unique and tasty experience overall. We love how warm and welcoming Petit Vie is and can’t wait to go back!

   Wonderful brunch with family! The food was perfection, the service top-notch and love the cool vibe of this place (which is much changed from what I remember from back in the Boland’s days.)

    Highly recommended for the food and the service. Petit Vie is not in a large space so the noise level, even on a weekday evening, can get up there. Try an early reservation before 6 or after 7:15. The bar seating is popular and you need reservations for all seating. Several appetizers worth trying. The Tourtons (puff pastries) were really tasty, light as air. Mushroom Tart has excellent tasting mushrooms with a light goat cheese topping. Into escargot? Try it here. Wonderful. Entrees we have tried and really enjoyed are pork chasseur and cod en papillote. The puff pastry with squash was a great option for the vegetarian in our group. Want something simple? Burger and pomme frites (yes, french fries) is served medium rare and delicious. French onion soup also a winner. Cheese topping is done perfectly and not overwhelming. Save room for a little dessert. Ice cream is made in-house and the coffee flavor was great; petit fours give your party a taste of multiple flavors. Enjoy!
