   The restaurant is beautifully decorated, but the service is painfully slow. I was really excited to try this place, but the experience ended up being frustrating. We had a 7:15 PM reservation and ordered the four-course prix fixe from the Valentine’s menu. By 8:45 PM, we had only received one dish—the hotate. If they can’t handle this many guests, they really shouldn’t take so many reservations or allow walk-ins. After waiting an hour and 45 minutes, we finally got our second course, but at that point, we had already decided to cut dinner short. The waiter canceled the rest of our meal and comped the hotate and sake, which was nice, but we were still charged $42 for five pieces of nigiri that weren’t even presented well. The rice was thrown together carelessly, and for that price, it wasn’t worth it at all. It was clear the kitchen was rushing to catch up because, by the time food started coming out, it looked sloppy. Meanwhile, the table near us who were seated the same time we were also only received one dish and ended up leaving, just like we did. This was supposed to be a special anniversary dinner, but instead, I’m sitting here irritated and starving. With a baby at home, date nights don’t come often, and it sucks that we wasted this one. Definitely not coming back.

   We were excited for the mix of sushi and cooked options on the izakaya-style menu. The Echigo 49er roll and the Mummy roll were among a set of rolls unique to Echigo and were exceptional. As were the negiri from their "fresh today" menu. The mango avocado roll was unexpectedly extra-delicious. The potato croquette over rice with a curry gravy was a great accompaniment to the sushi. Good sake selections and some unusual beer options added to the charm of the fare. Great ambience, we look forward to exploring more of their menu!

   I dined here with my partner for a special occasion and wasted my time and money. I'd seen reviews praising the food but warning about poor service. As someone in the service industry, I came in with grace--but our experience was worse than expected. We ordered the five-piece omakase for its highlights: uni, scallop, and A5 wagyu. It took nearly 50 minutes to arrive--before our appetizers (which never came)--and without any notice, the uni and scallops were substituted!!! When I raised the issue, the server seemed confused and said, "We gave you two more fish. What's the problem?" The sushi chef echoed the same and acted annoyed I was upset that I did not want his substituted fish. Only after pushing did he suddenly produce a scallop--after claiming they were out. I cannot understand why 2 out of the 5 pieces listed on their Omakase set was out and replaced without any notice. The wagyu? According to my partner, the worst he's ever had. When we asked about our appetizers, the server asked if we still wanted them--another 50-minute wait wasn't an option at that point. This was one of the most disappointing meals we've had, both in quality and experience. I actually reached out to the business to give direct feedback rather than posting it online, but they never responded to me. I do hope they improve their service because we both left completely upset with what we had experienced. Such a shame for a new business.

   Wow! Absolutely amazing. Buttery salmon, perfect rice…we had a few of the sampler sashimi and nigiri to try everything at this beautiful new spot and it was perfect. 10/10 recommend and will return

   The restaurant is beautifully designed & laid out, which contributes to a pleasant and soothing ambiance. The food is very good. I would say that the Omikase sushi was not worth the money. There were two kinds of snapper and sea bass, fatty tuna but no hamachi or scallops or other high value sushi. The cucumber & fish salad was excellent as was the sexy salmon roll. Service was perfect.

   Tasty food, delightful service. Impressed with the owners. Menu is extensive, but the printed copy was a bit hard to read.

    The food is really good and we would come again for lunch or during a slow period. Most likely wouldn’t come back for dinner or if it’s busy. We spent the first 5 minute waiting for a menu and then an additional 15 minutes to place an order. We would have gone somewhere else if it wasn’t so late.
