The tacos are not good, the tortilla are store bought and cold, the churros are raw. The cocktails were too sweet. I can't recommend this place.

We showed up at our reservation time and were told our reservation didn’t matter and they couldn’t seat us. This was a business lunch and was very disappointing. We made a reservation for 6 people at 12p. Not exactly a large party but it would have been nice had they said it would take a little longer than expected to seat us. It also seemed like they were ignoring any newcomers.

Nicer inside than it is on the outside. Still a great restaurant. Just plan a little time for this particular experience as the servers aren't very in any rush to serve you. Decent food. Would eat there again. Just not blown away.

I will not eat here again. The place is cute, The service was OK, our server was very friendly just a bit slow. My problem with this place was the food was terrible. BLAND!!!!! I didn’t know Mexican food could not have any flavor. I even asked for the hottest hot sauce and the hottest salsa and I could still barely taste anything. The guacamole had zero flavor, my entrée had zero flavor. Basically everything has zero flavor. It was so bizarre. I get it it’s Utah people here don’t have a pallet for spice and sometimes even lots of flavor but come on. At least have condiments so those of us who like a lot of flavor in their food can add it. Our bill for two people was $62 and that was without having any beverages. Seemed quite high for food that was almost inedible.

We haven't been to the downtown location in a long time and we were disappointed in our experience overall. Food quality was fair at best, service was friendly but chaotic and the bathrooms were not clean. Sad to see a local go-to fall so far. If we give Taqueria 27 another try, we will visit a different location.
