    From start to finish, everything we had was absolutely delicious. The focaccia bread was the perfect beginning—fresh out of the oven, with a crisp exterior and fluffy inside, served with whipped butter and a tallow candle that added a rich, savory touch. The garlic herb mashed potatoes were creamy, buttery, and packed with flavor—honestly some of the best mashed potatoes I’ve had in a long time. They paired beautifully with the filet mignon, which was cooked to perfection. Tender, juicy, and seasoned just right—it truly melted in my mouth. The ambiance was cozy and stylish, the service was attentive without being overbearing, and the whole evening felt special. I can’t wait to come back and try more from the menu. Highly recommend!

    Great ambience and even better food and drinks! The steak was some of the best I have had in the city, and I have been to a lot of the popular steakhouses in the city. Definitely will be coming back!

    Fantastic bartender who mixed great drink, including fabulous margaritas! Great ambience, with perhaps a tad bit too much noise, but this wasn't a blocker for our night. Once we moved from the bar downstairs (which was surprisingly even louder), the good times and quality continued. While there was a slight delay meeting our actual server, plenty of other ancillary front of the house employees kept us engaged - offering water and such while we waited for our server to arrive. She was fantastic overall, offering some suggestions as first time visitors. Steaks here are cooked sous vide prior to whatever method they're using to finish the steaks. Food was fantastic overall - especially the hamachi and brussel sprouts. Our steaks were mixed up in terms of temperature, which is why I gave only 4 stars for the food, but this did not detract too much from the overall experience. My wife ordered the filet with a blue cheese crust at medium (arrived medium rare, which I ordered and prefer), while I ordered the strip steak, whic arrived somewhere between medium rare and medium (closer to what my wife wanted for her filet). Again, not a blocker. While my wife's filet had a nice almost crust/char, my strip lacked that, but was still good. Her filet was excellent however. Overall great experience, while overpriced in our opinion. While we understand inflation and current macroeconomic conditions restaurants face, $64 for an 8oz filet is far and away more than what we both thought this should cost. Similar for my strip steak, which was a bit more if I recall correctly. The strip was even less tasteful and thinner than I expected for the price. Again, overall, none of this detracted from the overall experience. Our bill, including our stop at the bar was over $400, which puts this on the higher end and the restaurant held it's own. We'll be back, perhaps sharing some things so we can save some money.

    Our steaks were perfect, our server, very knowledgable about the menu, freindly, even helped us trying to get our uber to the right address. Next time i'm in chicago, will be going back and trying something else on the menu.

    Best steak I have ever had at any restaurant. Great service! Wally is amazing. So friendly, and pleasant. Beautiful atmosphere. Just a lovely experience. Can’t wait to go back again

    The overall experience was great. I wouldn't arrive early for a reservation because they will not seat you. We arrived early and wasn't seated until after the reservation time, not on time as they seated parties that arrived after us.

    Exceeded expectations! Phenomenal service and food. We had a ribeye and a filet and both were both charred but also tender in the best way.
