   I highly recommend to anyone looking for a great meal in a welcoming atmosphere. I can't wait to return and indulge in more of their delicious offerings!

   Overall Ambience in the restaurant is good. We found the waiter to be pushy for the entrees and overall decided not to have dinner. The tuna poke appetizer was good, however the mussels are not recommended. Mussel appetizers were extremely salty and 3 mussels did not open. As you know mussels should not be eaten when they do not open. The staff was notified and did nothing to bring out 3 additional mussels. This is unacceptable as basically they are shorting you the full portion. Not a bad restaurant, but could certainly do better.

   Our experience was amazing! Our server Saja was the best! She was so energetic, Everything she suggested was spot on. We loved having her as a server and her enthusiasm for Lightning Hockey was like no other. Go Bolts⚡️❤️!

   Restaurant was not very busy on a Tuesday evening. We chose to dine inside. At times noise from the bar area was loud. The menu offers a wide variety of dishes. We mentioned one guest was celebrating a birthday...our server brought a special candle on our dessert. Overall it was a pleasant experience

   We live in Tampa, but occasionally drive to St. Pete to dine. Social Roost is one of our favorite spots. We have typically gone for lunch, but wanted to try dinner this time. It was a Sunday night, so not overly busy. Service was a bit disjointed, mainly due, I think, to reduced staffing for a Sunday night. Our server was pleasant, but sometimes took a bit of time to check on us. However, the bartender was assisting, and sometimes came by as well. So I'm not really taking points away for this, but as I said, it was just a bit disjointed. I had the paper plane cocktail, and it was good. My husband had a draft beer. For entrees, he had the Cobb salad, which was ample, and he really liked it. I wanted to try something different, and I ordered the pesto pasta. I wanted to love this dish, but I didn't. On the other hand, I didn't hate it either. It was heavy, which I guess is to be expected, but after several bites, it was a bit much. It was really just too much olive oil. Also, it is described as being served with angel hair pasta, but mine was with large macaroni-type pasta. I would have preferred the angel hair. But the mushrooms and other veggies were tasty, just overwhelmed by the oil. Some might like this dish, but I wouldn't order it again. But overall, we still love this restaurant, and one of our favorite dishes is the curry mussels-sone of the best we've had. Sometimes you take a chance on something different-it may pan out or it may not. But certainly we will return to Social Roost.

    We were really looking forward to this being our 2nd time. First off, we made a reservation for 4 and when we got here, we were told we couldn't sit in a booth b/c it was reserved for 5. If we chose to sit inside, it would be next to a table with kids. So we opted to sit outside and it was pretty chilly even with the heat lamp. I had to run back to my car for a jacket. So the first time we came it was awesome. Great food, portions and price. Still great food, but the portions were ridiculous for the price. 2 of us ordered Shrimp and Grits, it came in like a bowl I use at home for my cereal. The last time we came about a year ago, and the menu online was listed as $19.50. It is now $28! The portion was like an appitizer, I think I had maybe 4 shrimp. Another person got the Paella and that portion also was so small. The taste was great But if I am paying over $200 to sit on a sidewalk and freeze and get small potions, I could have chosen several other locations around the corner on Beach drive or even in Tampa. So Overall, we were really disappointed. And the lighting was really dark as well.
