Really enjoyed the soup and salad. The chicken marsala under brick is delicious. I had a jungle pasta that I really enjoyed and a really nice cocktail.

Everything was great except for one thing, our pancakes were cold. Not easy getting cold butter to spread on cold pancakes. Other than that everything was delicious. Kayja did a great job!
Cafe WhitneyResponded on June 11, 2026

In addition to your satisfaction, your feedback is important to us and will be shared with our team. It was a pleasure to serve you, and we look forward to welcoming you back. Limited menu. We had the Tuscan flat bread that had lots of fresh basil and was yummy! Service is friendly. They had a good selection of beer on tap including local beers.
Cafe WhitneyResponded on May 26, 2026
Dear Shelly, It sounds like the Tuscan flatbread was a hit, and we are so glad you enjoyed it. Fresh flavors, friendly service, and a solid tap list with local selections can make for a really enjoyable dining experience. That said, we appreciate your comments regarding the menu variety as well. Thank you for spending time with us, and we hope there is another favorite waiting for you on your next visit. Food & service were great. We had a group of 8 in our party & they sat us at a huge table with plenty of room, but it was really wide, very hard to socialize with everyone across the table. Though it was roomy, it was just to big that made it hard to socialize with everyone at the table. Our food was delicious, generous portions & service was on it. Everyone got their food within seconds of each other.
Cafe WhitneyResponded on May 22, 2026
Dear Liz, Thank you for your review. We are delighted to hear you enjoyed the food, generous portions, and attentive service during your visit. It’s wonderful to know your group was well taken care of and that the timing of the meal service was smooth for everyone. We also appreciate your comments regarding the table setup, as feedback like this helps us continue improving the dining experience for larger parties. We hope to welcome you back for an even better experience soon. Sincerely, Ramon Villegas - General Manager

Our server Tom was so kind and helpful! He helped me to pick out the right dish for me, and it was amazing - I haven't stopped raving about it in days. I enjoyed the salmon with risotto, my significant other had the rigatoni and loved it. We were dining with another couple who had a child, and Tom was kind enough to split our bill for us. The ambiance is great. I just love this place and I will be back soon!

Dear Candee, It was so kind of you to take the time to share details about your experience at Cafe Whitney. We appreciate your stellar rating, but your promise to return is the greatest reward. Sincerely, Ramon Villegas - General Manager

Early weekday evenings or the restaurant’s weekday happy hour (Mon–Thu 4:00–6:00 pm) are great for a lively but not crowded experience. Guests also praise breakfast and brunch for solid, less-clustered visits. Avoid major holiday service times or nights with large parties if you want a quieter table, several guests noted long waits or busier service during holidays and big events.

Cafe Whitney blends a polished yet relaxed vibe, guests call it romantic, upscale-casual, and comfortable. The open kitchen, attentive staff, and hotel-adjacent setting create a refined but friendly atmosphere ideal for date nights, family dinners, or pre-theater drinks. Some guests noted quieter evenings while others described busy holiday nights; overall the space feels clean, well-managed, and inviting.

Yes, many guests bring children and praise the restaurant’s kid-focused options. Reviews specifically call out a very generous kids’ meal and family-friendly atmosphere; guests report enjoyable multi-generation dinners and family celebrations. If you’re visiting with little ones, consider an early seating or mention family needs when booking to ensure a comfortable table.

Weekdays (Mon–Thu) are generally a smart choice, you’ll find quieter tables and can take advantage of the Mon–Thu happy hour (4–6 pm). Guests also enjoy weekend brunches, but weekends and holidays can be busier. If you want a special night out, a weekday evening or happy hour balances quality food, attentive service, and fewer crowds.

Business casual is the stated dress code. Guests often treat the restaurant as a nicer casual spot suitable for date nights, family dinners, and holiday meals, think neat, comfortable attire rather than formal wear.

Yes, Cafe Whitney appears willing to accommodate special requests. Multiple guests describe staff customizing meals for severe food intolerances and handling special dietary needs, and servers are frequently praised for helpfulness. For requests like dietary restrictions, seating preferences, or celebrations, call ahead and alert the host or manager so the team can prepare.

Yes, guests mention patio dining and enjoying views from the patio, so outdoor seating is available. The patio is used for events and gives a pleasant spot for meals during suitable weather. If you prefer an outdoor table, request patio seating when you make your reservation.

Yes, guests report dining at Cafe Whitney on holidays like Christmas, New Year’s Eve, and Mother’s Day, with special menus or holiday dinners noted. Because holiday hours and offerings can vary, call ahead to confirm hours and any special menus for the specific holiday you plan to visit.

Portions at Cafe Whitney tend to be generous and good value. Guests call out a “massive” breakfast burrito and an especially large kids’ meal that satisfies picky eaters. Dinner entrees like steak, salmon, and prime rib are described as satisfying and well plated, several guests returned because the portions and flavors impressed them. If you’re sharing appetizers or ordering for kids, you’ll likely find the servings filling.

Cafe Whitney is family-friendly, guests commonly dine with children, celebrate family occasions, and note a kids’ meal that’s great value. There’s patio dining and a spacious dining room that works well for groups and multi-generation dinners. The sources don’t explicitly state details about ADA-accessible seating or wheelchair access; if accessibility is essential, call the restaurant ahead to confirm accommodations and request a suitable table.

Cafe Whitney offers a large, hotel-adjacent dining room, a bar area (with TVs), and patio seating that guests enjoy for views and events. The kitchen is open, which some guests appreciate. The restaurant does not advertise private-party or private dining rooms, so for private events you’ll want to call and ask about options or availability.

Yes, Cafe Whitney is a strong choice for a date night. Guests frequently praise the romantic, hotel-adjacent setting, creative cocktails, and attentive service that make evenings feel special. The menu leans toward cheffed-up American favorites and the dining room has a polished, upscale-casual vibe ideal for a night out. For a quieter, more intimate table try weekday evenings or book during dinner hours and mention it’s a date night when you reserve.

Busiest: holidays and nights with large parties, guests described busy Christmas, New Year’s Eve, and Mother’s Day services that filled the restaurant and sometimes slowed service. Quietest: weekday mornings and some weekday evenings can be calmer; several guests noted quieter dinner visits and positive breakfast/brunch experiences. For the best quiet experience pick a weekday or arrive early in the meal period.
