About this restaurant

  • Charming
  • Great for creative cocktails
  • Neighborhood gem
Housed on the first floor of The LINE DC Hotel in the heart of Adams Morgan, No Goodbyes is an all-day neighborhood hangout that taps the farmers, fishers, and small-time ranchers in DC’s own backyard—The Chesapeake Bay & Mid Atlantic Region—to create an eclectic mix of feel-good dishes morning, noon, and night, all by Chef Phil Marzelli.
Choose your own way to dine from several distinct menus and spaces (a restaurant, bar, communal lounge, and counter-service coffee shop); so no matter what time of day it is, there really is no need to say goodbye.

Wonderful place to have a meal. We had brunch. It’s also the ideal spot for a coffee as many neighbours brought their pups along. Staff was pleasant and welcoming. Chef Phil Marzelli presented creative dishes for us. Pastries were served fresh and warm as they should be. Lemon infused donuts were delicious with a tart center to balance their sweet glaze. Salmon and Lox was served with salmon that had herbs dusted on the surface. The lightly toasted bagel was fresh and had great consistency. Brunch was finished off with a creamy homogeneous panna cotta surrounded by flowers and preserves and a tiramisu with espresso poured in it’s center at table side. Will dine here again.

Easter brunch. We were staying at the line DC hotel which the restaurant is in. I had the overnight oats and the deviled eggs. I would get both again. My husband had some sort of lamb hash special which he also liked. The kids had bacon, fries and toast. They said the toast was the best they had ever had. The chef came and checked on us and gave us complementary lemon donuts which were yummy. Thanks for a great Easter breakfast!

We had wonderful cocktails and a delicious meal! Our server was helpful and knowledgeable. The noise level was reasonable so we could hear each other which is so unusual! We enjoyed the evening very much!

The staff here was so nice! Offered me a glass of champagne for my birthday. I had requested a couch for my group and they happily made it possible. Food was great and drinks too! Will definitely be back.

I had a wonderful experience at No Goodbyes. From the hostess stand, Hannah getting our drinks and food orders to the check part, service was fantastic. We were 3 in our party and we all ordered different things, the Caesar salad was fresh and had this amazing crunch. I ordered one of the pasta specials and it was creamy and indulgent. My friend was raving about the burger, definitely a must-have, specially when it comes with those addictive fries :-) And we really enjoyed the apple crisp dessert. Can’t wait to come back!
