   Mid level. Salad good. Salmon good if cooked up to the line of over. Jumbalaya way over priced- like a rice porridge with a bit of sausage. Steak, OK. I think they are better than the previous owner, but it is not a slam dunk. It seems like it’s trying to be the off Kirkwood version of Uptown, but doesn’t quite reach it. New decor very good, real cocktail- good mixologist. I think a few adjustments as they settle in and I give them good odds to improve into a contender. In a personal note - it would be great if there were a gluten free version of the cornbread ( not that hard to do) and a gluten free bun for sandwiches- Uptown, Bru Burger, Upland - all have these and they are all on my list ahead of 55 Southern at the moment.

   The food was ice cold and tasted terrible. The potatoes were still frozen.

   Felt Manager “rushed” our anniversary experience attempting to close early. Food arrived quickly BUT “off temperature”. Crew started cleaning up floor and stacking chairs at table proximate to us. NOT a great anniversary dinner experience. 😔

   First time back under new ownership. Very much improved. Food came out hot, well cooked and nice presentation. Thank you Lucas for taking care of us.

   Lucas was our server and he was very helpful guiding us through the cocktails / specials. We settled on the fried green tomatoes and the sweet gem salad for starters and the St. Patrick’s Day Appletini / Pot O’ Gold for the cocktail selection. Both my wife and I decided to go with the surf options landing on the Mahi and the Sea Bass, which were outstanding. Will be looking forward to coming back to dine again, hopefully soon with friends. Highly recommend!

   Food was awesome!! Service was great, we sat at the bar. It was fun watching the bartenders make drinks all night. The atmosphere was beautiful, we will def be back!

   Our waitress was what really made the whole experience as good as it was. She was extremely nice, she smiled, she listened and got our order right and she put it in fast so it came out fast. She also kept checking on us. We enjoyed everything we ordered. The restaurant was decorated very pretty.

   We were very excited to see 55 Southern Stone reopen under new ownership. It has been tastefully redecorated and has a very cozy vibe. Three of our party ordered the smashburgers and were well pleased with their selections. One of our party enjoyed the salmon while I opted for the shrimp and gouda grits- which was a delicious entree. The star of the night proved to be the tenderloin sandwich. It was probably the largest tenderloin we had ever seen served on a sandwich. It was a juicy and moist preparation and as tasty as it was large. We look forward to returning to 55 Southern Stone soon!

   Very nice remodel. Great interior space and atmosphere. The menu changes and expansion look great. We just had sandwiches on this visit, which were well prepared and tasty. (The onion rings were crispy and good). We will have some of the main dinner entrees on our next visit.
