   Had a table next to the window, great view! Nice assortment of food at the buffet. Service was very good. No complaints, nice ambiance, definitely an enjoyable experience.

   The highlawn was one of the last good places to go to, I used to dine out at the manor and since they closed the highlawn was the alternative, I have been going there for every occasion. But this time it was disappointing, from the start I knew the food it tasted different and I asked and I was told the chef was changed, the menu was small and the food had a twist to it in a bad way, anyway I would like to go back there again if things changed, I hope the owner of the place know to keep up with the name that I’m used to.

   Historic, iconic beautiful space. Sadly, they just refuse to make it atmospheric and it’s as STERILE as can be. A little jazz & proper lighting would go a looong way toward feeling like you are someplace you can actually enjoy. The place just feels like it’s closed yet you are there. As a restaurant consultant and a person growing up coming here there’s so much I’d love to see happen here that just isn’t.

   I want to celebrate my best friend on her promotion and without a question or a thought we knew this was the place to go. Never a disappointment and always something new to try. Love it there.

   I love the new social hour! Its the same food and drinks but much more affordable. I will be back!

   Beautiful place with magnificent views of NYC. Food just average, very expensive. Service, just OK. Dinner served way to fast for this type of restaurant. Within 3 minutes of placing our order, salad came out. As soon as we finished salad, our main course was served. One entre was a rigatoni pasta which was way under cooked. That generally indicates a dry, boxed pasta. I would have thought, at their price, this would have been fresh made pasta. We then received the desert menu, which we ordered. I told our waiter to hold off on serving this a bit. Well, that came out 5 minutes later. Understand, we have been going to this restaurant for many, many years. Ownership changed about 3 years ago and it is quite obvious the new management does not operate as the previous (and original ) owners did. This used to be a first class restaurant and new ownership has dropped the ball.

   What an experience! The restaurant is beautiful. The view perfect. From the second we sat down, party of 6 with kids, our server was on point. He was very to attentive to my wife and I however more concentrated on my kids which is not the norm. This is what sold us. The chef lead chef was super concentrated on every single dish that left the kitchen, I know this because our table was facing the kitchen. Every meal from appetizer to desert was excellent. What an amazing experience. Hands down one of my favorites in the New Jersey/New York area. Well done Highlawn

    This was our best experience at the Highlawn since new ownership took over! Everything was a 10/10! Service was fantastic, food and drinks were great, atmosphere was wonderful. I don’t know if there have been major changes or if everything was ‘on’ that night (it was a week night and not very crowded) but we will go again very soon and hope to have same great experience!
