   Steak was fork-tender. Wine was delicious. We had a great meal. You are eating in John hancocks former counting house so, for ambiance,, what else needs to be said? The service was friendly and professional and fast. All and all, I would return with a group of friends anytime I am back in Boston.

   We have been coming to the Chart House for years to celebrate Easter. This year we found the quality of the food to not be the same. The Clam Chowder was not creamy and we all felt it was frozen and not freshly made. My son ordered the steak medium and it was well done. He ended up leaving 3/4 of it. I ordered the Chilean Seabass and I thought it was just OK. I should’ve ordered the prime rib which looked very good also the lava cake their signature dessert looks like they downgraded the size and quality. It was a bit disappointing for $600.

   Server was awesome. Had the lamb chops which I ordered medium rare and were little under cooked. Ordered the cheesecake, which they didn’t have. Great place, look forward to coming back.

   We go to the Chart House for the prime rib. It’s absolutely amazing. We started with oysters and shrimp cocktail. Both delicious and the dry ice shrimp cocktail vessel with the smoke was pretty cool. King cut prime rib was so tender and perfectly medium rare. Mashed potatoes rich and delicious and a lovely fresh spring asparagus side dish was exceptional. Lava cake for dessert capped off a perfect meal from a food perspective. Now, here’s why only 4 stars. The atmosphere was chaotic. They have a lot of waitstaff. It was actually surprising Tons of waiters, waitresses and waitstaff but they are not working together to provide a seamless dining experience. I would describe the vibe as chaotic. At times it felt like they were all mad at each other. The 2 girls behind the hostess desk could be heard complaining about other waitstaff. The team didn’t work well together and as a result, people weren’t stepping in to assist each other so the whole experience felt clunky. We’ve been going to the CH for decades and will continue to do so, I hope they can get their team a little better aligned with good leadership.

   Took my parents here for my dad's first time in Boston, and they gave us a free Boston Creme Pie on the house! So kind! Everything was delicious and we really enjoyed it!

   Fantastic service fantastic food. My wife had wine I had a great LIIT. For apps I had the ceasar salad and my wife had some other salad. For main course I had the filet mignon and my wife had the Salmon. For dessert we shared the lava cake and trio crème Brulé. They brought out a special treat for my wife’s birthday. This was probably the best meal we had in 30+ years.
