   Wonderful restaurant. Our server Jeromy was excellent! He handled our party of nine like a rockstar! His suggestion for the goat cheese appetizer was delicious. My Parmesan crusted chicken was moist and tasty. Salmon was ordered and I was told it was delicious, too. The steaks were good, however the cook temperature on all of them was off. Medium rare came out medium well, but My party still enjoyed them. (That’s why I gave 4 stars for food) Overall it was a great dining experience! We will be back for sure!

   Excellent all around, a very cool historic place with a wonderful menu, service and food. Extensive unique drink menu too.

   Ate upstairs in a back booth — first time there; won’t be the last. Food & drinks were excellent (4 stars only because our salmon & steak were a tad salty for our taste). The best part of the evening was Jose, our server. He was knowledgeable, engaging, and endearing. We hope to catch him one last time before he graduates from Sam in 3 weeks.

   Lovely restaurant atmosphere. Waiter Ian was friendly and attentive, recommended the house specials. My wedge salad was good and came out quickly. My steak was overcooked, my husband’s steak was rarer than ordered and his steak fries were cold. The entrees definitely overshadowed what would have been a lovely dinner. First time at 1836 while visiting Huntsville. For the price of the meal and the disappointing entrees, I don’t think we will be back.

   Amazing service, went out on a date night. Great people amazing food and amazing hospitality. Would recommend over anything.

   We visited 1836 Steakhouse for a date night and thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience. We were greeted as we arrived and given an option for a downstairs or upstairs table. We chose upstairs based on the recommendation of the hostess. Our server Jose was informative, friendly and made sure that our dining experience was extremely pleasant. The food was amazing and we will definitely be return customers. 10 out of 10 for sure!
