   OMG...where do I begin. Right from the moment when we walked in we were greeted with the warmest greeting. And our server CINDY was so awesome and very conversational. She welcomed us and congratulated us on our 5 year Wedding Anniversary. CINDY was the best. The food was outstanding and we highly recommend.

   We had a wonderful experience, as we always do at Roy's (here or in The Inn at Spanish Bay, Carmel, CA). The food was exceptional, the service was stellar (Junior was very accommodating, friendly and helpful).

   It is not the Roy’s of the past. According to the waiter, they have problem recruiting staff. The menu has changed, no more butterfish or Ahi steak, (they still have it as an appetizer)those two were regular items, no chocolate souffle, but they have a good chocolate ganache cake. The prices are pretty high, the mahi mahi was 65$.The food is good, restaurant is very nice but pricey.

   We have enjoyed dining at Roy’s for many years. One of the biggest draws was their superb molten chocolate lava cake - there was no equal. Sadly that is no longer available, and some of the other dishes changed too (different recipes, not quite as tasty). Our ahi was outstanding (but $70!) so we probably won’t go back. Darn, that was a fun tradition.

   Very disappointed with our dinner. We were here 10 years ago and the restaurant has declined significantly. The food was way overpriced for the poor quality. Steaks were cooked incorrectly with potatoes that were cold with too much butter. Signature butterfish came out cold. Service was 4/10. VERY disappointed, I would definitely look for an alternative restaurant.

   I truly enjoyed the ahimsa tuna appetizer and my macadamia crusted Mahi Mahi was Devine in a lobster sauce. The toffee chocolate torte was also very good. The server was very helpful with suggestions and options. Water glass remained full consistently.
