   We had dinner with friends for a Dining Out for Life charity event. The meals were all delicious, especially the 1501 burger that I ordered. Although they were busy, our server could have been more attentive. The server from another table checked on us more than she did.

   It was our first visit, but we were there for the Dining Out for Life benefit. It’s a comfortable environment with friendly staff. Our server, Melisa, took great care of us! We had The Gregor burger and Willie’s Shepherds Pie. Both very delicious and large portions…we had to get boxes to go. We saw many other items on the menu that we’d like to try, so we’ll be back.

   Had the Caesar Salad with extra anchovies. Cost only $14 because we came during happy hour otherwise would cost $18. Salad was delicious, fresh and with dark green lettuce. Service was first rate. Our server (she was so accommodating).

   Our server Priscilla was amazing! Will definitely go back! Their brunch was delicious!

   We go here often and the food is consistently good as are the drinks!! Have never had a bad meal here. Not gourmet but solid and nice vibe too.

   The Gastropub isn't what it used to be. The Panko breaded onion rings the three of us ordered to share as a starter, were great, but everything went downhill from there. I ordered the cold roasted chicken sandwich, and the chicken appeared and tasted like a flavorless, boiled ball of breast meat. The 6-inch sandwich could only be eaten after disassembling the elements. My partner ordered the grilled chicken Caesar salad with the same (not grilled) tasteless chicken strips and a dressing that didn't resemble anything like traditional Caesar salad dressing. Our guest ordered the Caprese salad sandwich, which consisted of a ball of burrata with scant tomato and basil on focaccia bread. It took considerable effort to cut the focaccia into bite-sized pieces. After having enjoyed several great meals in the past when Willie Rhine owned the restaurant, this luncheon with a guest visiting from Europe was very disappointing. While the attentive service was great, I doubt we'll be returning to Uptown Gastropub.

    The service at 1501 Uptown Gastropub is excellent! The staff is polite and attentive, going above and beyond to provide a wonderful eating experience. Congratulations to the whole team! I was really impressed by the service!
