   One of our favorite Italian restaurants. Food is consistently excellent and they are very classy - we ordered an expensive (for us) bottle of sparkling wine and midway through our first glass thought it might be starting to turn so asked the sommelier to taste it. He thought it was fine but still offered to return it, agreeing with our view that it wasn't terribly bubbly - we never return wine just because we don't like it, but at these prices we took him up on it, and really appreciated the gesture.

   my wife and I realize tonight we're coming to you for over 20 years, although were way there a few times a year (never enough)  we've celebrated over 20 of our 42 years of marriage and we always sit at one of our two favorite tables. Never disappoints. As my wife respectfully says "you could get high off the food" so thank you very much. ( Grazie Millie)

   First and foremost, the food is excellent! Our waiter never hovered but was always there at just the right time. Never felt rushed so our party of four was able to eat, drink, talk, and visit at our own pace. It was a first-rate dining experience from beginning to end!

   I used to go to da Umberto often when I worked in the neighborhood years ago. It was a great place for me to take clients. I hadn't been back in quite some time. I was thrilled to find that the food, service and ambiance was just as I had remembered. It's a fine restaurant that is highly recommended.

   I've been going to Da Umberto for more than 30 years. The food is as good as always! Noisy in the back, but worth it nonetheless.
