   The pork was awesome. The hummus and chicken and waffle were also great! Service was amazing.

   We've always loved Whiskey Cake, but after our most recent visit, I don't think we'll go back. While our server was sweet and friendly, she disappeared a lot, our water ran out with no refill until we flagged someone down, and our food took FOREVER to get to us. Once the meal arrived, it just didn't seem up to the normal excellent standard we've come to expect from WC. The restaurant was not crowded, but it felt like all the servers were frazzled. It was not a pleasant night out.

   Took 2 hours to get our food. To be fair, it was Easter Sunday, but we did have a reservation. It was not the waitress’ fault. The food was delicious! I just felt like they could’ve provided us with SOMETHING since we had to wait so long for our food like a free appetizer or dessert while we waited. The manager did apologize. 🤷🏻‍♀️

   I understand it was a holiday, but we had a much better experience last year than this year at Whiskey Cake. It took over an hour to get our food from when we ordered, came all at different times for a family of 4, and my husband only received half of his entree; the other half came 15 minutes later so he couldn't enjoy it together. I would have expected with service like that, at least something would have been comped: a free dessert, another round of drinks, etc. but there was nothing. I think we'll be looking for another Easter venue next year as a result.

   FOLLOW UP: Received a call from the GM who apologized for our experience and wanted to make it right. Problems happen but we appreciate the restaurant's quick response. Looking forward to trying it again when things are less chaotic ORIGINAL: I realize it was Easter Sunday but so should the managers and schedule accordingly. Our reservation was for 12:30. We weren't seated until 1:00 and then didn't get our food until 2:30. When we asked when we were getting our food, they kept saying the kitchen was backed up. Did that surprise you on a holiday??? The worst part is we ordered appetizers so what in the world could take that long? If you don't have enough staff scheduled, don't accept so many reservations. Our server decided she didn't want to have to explain so she stopped looking at us and stopped bringing refills which only made it worse. Very poorly run. Won't be going back!.

   We went on Easter and had a reservation for 12:15 we were seated 12:18 which was very reasonable for a holiday brunch. Our waitress greeted us promptly and took our drink orders. She swiftly got our drinks and bottle of water. She then did not return for a good 10-15 mins and we finally placed our simple order by 12:45 but was ready by 12:30. She stopped by 1 time with refills then we flagged her down at 1:45 and we were told 7 tickets ahead of us. By 2:10pm we had our food and if we would have known that it would be almost 2 hours we would have ordered an app and expected a free dessert or manager to stop by. She was almost in tears because the lack of communication from the back house to the front house. We don’t mind waiting we didn’t like the lack of Communication. Our order -pancakes (one was burned on the bottom and forgot to bring syrup) -chicken and turkey melt with fries -roast beef sandwich and chips (roast beef was cold in the middle as they didn’t heat it up properly) -cup of soup and goat cheese fondue (I don’t know why I only got 1/2 cup of soup as the rest of it was corn chips and some old brown guac) Not once did we complain or yell at the server. We did ask questions and she was not having a good day. I’m sorry you had to be the server but that’s your job and lack of communication and back up of tickets and to have cold food when we waiting patiently Do better!

   Staff seemed overwhelmed..waited @ 1 1/2 hours from the time we sat (with a reservation) until we got our food.. it was Easter Sunday but they seemed very unprepared for the crowd… food was good and our waitress was nice… but they seemed very unprepared ..the wait was not good.

   Went to celebrate Easter with family. Our server was THE worst. She "forgot" about our table for over 1 hour. Then when we complained to the hostess, because we couldn't find the waitress. After that the waitress was inattentive to our table and rude. What a child. She didn't provide better service after our complaint. Nitbwas worse because she was pouting like a child. So, she definitely put a damper on our meal. I will say that the bar manager, Todd, was more helpful and took our complaints seriously.
