   My wife felt unwelcomed and prejudiced, which compelled us to leave almost immediately.

   Service was very slow - it was a holiday so maybe a bit out of sorts because of it. The view is great and food was very good

   We go to Skates several times each year, but no more. Our meals and service on Easter Sunday were an aberration. The waitress, Nicole, was inattentive from the start, not writing anything down. As a result, most items in our order were wrong. One meal was to be salmon and clam chowder, but came back halibut and lobster bisque. My meal of sautéed chicken, potatoes and roasted mushrooms was unacceptable from the “soup bowl” presentation to the shrunken chicken thigh. The service was slow and chaotic. It seemed as though new management was in charge and nobody knew what they were doing. What was once a wonderful place to have a great meal has become a joke, which we choose not to repeat.    We had a great family Easter dinner at Skates. Loved being by the Bay. Jay was our server and he was very attentive and flexible for out table of 6. Our entrees came out of the kitchen before we finished our first course and he acknowledged that he too was surprised and explained there had just been a shift change in the kitchen. Minor issue and acknowledging the poor timing meant a lot. Food was plentiful and very good. Nice variety of choices for a fixed price holiday menu. Will be back again.

   Service was slow - ordered soup forgot to give us spoons. Didn’t offer condiments. Food was awesome qnd the view amazing.

   The prime rib was fatty and stringy. It was busy so the service was slow. The rest of the food was excellent.

   So we came for Easter lunch with a wheelchair. They put us way in the back, so navigating between tables when leaving was a bit difficult. As for our table, it was nice and against a window to look out over the bay. That's where the good stopped. Sadly our waitress was on the inattentive side. Our food was mediocre at best. I had steamed clams that were rubbery and dry. Sent those back as I couldnt eat them. My husband ordered the 21oz prime rib, medium rare. It came maybe 1/4" thick and probably 8oz of pure fat. And it was medium to well done. Not a bit of pink to be found. Mom, in the wheelchair, got the surf n turf. Hers was the best meal. I really had much higher hopes for Skates than what we got...very disappointed.

   We enjoyed a wonderful Easter Brunch. The service was excellent and the food was as well. Started with the artichoke dip. The lemon soufflé pancakes were fantastic. The crab Benedict was very good as well. Will definitely be returning.

   Excellent experience. Our server Ivan was outstanding. The food was delicious, as was the champagne spectacular view!

    Skates was wonderful, as usual, in all respects. The restaurant did a great job of serving a large Easter weekend crowd. Beautiful sunset, delicious food, warm and friendly ambiance. HIghly recommended!
