About this restaurant

  • Neighborhood gem
  • Good for special occasions
  • Charming
Osteria Amore came to life because we believe in the power of food to change your day, or in our case, change your life.

Owner Eduardo Daja has been working in restaurants since he was a teenager growing up in Italy, and his time in culinary school only strengthened his passion for food. After culinary school, Ed stayed in Bologna to work at a family-owned restaurant. He moved to Utah eight years ago, and found himself missing his first love, food. For the past three years, Ed has been managing an Italian restaurant while also maintaining a career in tech and finally made the life-changing decision to open his own restaurant.

That big decision was made possible for Ed when he met Marco Cuttaia, Osteria Amore’s executive chef and partner. Ed’s training in Bologna, considered the food capital of Italy, and Marco’s upbringing in Palermo, known for its incredible street food, bridge northern and southern Italian culinary tradition in a way that’s never been done in Salt Lake City.

I have trouble hearing well inside so I requested outside. That’s where we got to sit and I am grateful.

My husband and I sat out on the patio and it was a wonderful atmosphere. We had the octopus app and lasagna and the Osteria Amore pasta which were all delicious. The service was great and very attentive.

Delightful menu, executed very well. The signature pasta and Casa pizza did not disappoint! We also loved our starter Mediterranean salad and the homemade bread with ricotta was a nice touch! Will be back… biggest downside is lack of parking

First time coming here and sure won’t be the last! We were greeted so nicely, the waitress was very friendly and very informed of their menu and specials. I dropped my knife, it was picked up and immediately replaced without asking within 10-15 seconds! A waiter in the back heard it and came immediately out to replace it. That is service! The ravioli was amazing! The drinks were awesome! Our start to end was very on time! We personnly had a great experience here and we will be frequently dining at this establishment. Thank you so much for a great dinner. Your service is not seen very much anymore! Well done! Osteria Amore 🥂

If I lived in Salt Lake City this would be one of our go to restaurants. In our family we all order something different so we can taste several dishes. The pizza, and pastas were great. I normally don’t get excited about the bread on the table, but it came out of the pizza oven and it was great. If you are avoiding carbs don’t let them drop it at your table because you won’t be able to pass it up.
