Merrick Inn, construido antes de la Guerra Civil, fue remodelado totalmente por la familia Cal Milam en 1936, y sirvió como casa de campo para uno de los mejores ranchos de caballos de Lexington. Merrick Place es donde Milam y su novio, el Sr. Johnson, entrenaron al legendario Exterminator, ganador del derby de Kentucky en 1918.     No real problem with my meal the chop was delicious and they have the best champagne salad dressing I have ever tasted Great service bread basket warm and their peach sangria is wonderful . My only disappointment was the asparagus tough too thick but they have changed their hollandaise sauce no way it was made from “scratch” had to come from a package wrong color no taste! Hope they go back to their original!

    Most of our trips to Lexington involved an evening at Merrick Inn. Food is great, bourbon list is huge, old school ambiance. One of our faves.

    Great food! Great atmosphere! Restaurant was overbooked but server was very apologetic and attentive. Even brought the kids fries while they waited on food.

    Waited a long time for food to arrive at least 30mins. When food did arrive potatoes and French fries were cold. The scrambled eggs were lukewarm. They did not offer any gluten free options and did not offer or have any non Dairy coffee creamer. It’s Hard for people with food allergies to eat here no options.

    We had a wonderful time having brunch here this past Sunday. We sat at the bar and Matthew could not have been more helpful. He helped me choose a bourbon that complimented our appetizers and another one with my meal. The food was delicious and the restaurant was beautiful.

    We were seating at a table out in the middle of the room. It was so loud and awkward. I ordered the chai seed pudding (the only reason I came there). Was told they were out so I just asked for a side of fruit. I was brought a bowl of blueberries and told they were out of the rest of the fruit. This was at 11am on Easter Sunday. How are you already out of things? Never once did a manager come to our table or give us any compensation for the inconvenience. Service was very very slow. They ruined what was supposed to be a nice Easter brunch. We will never be back.
