   We had a lovely meal of Tex Mex staples and stiff margaritas. The resort was a pretty back drop to celebrate a retirement. We could hear each other easily and converse. Our server and trainee were excellent which always makes for a great time dining out.

   Booked a reservation because it was Thanksgiving evening but the crowd was lite and we walked right in. Food was good a price was not outrageous. And attire was casual. I would go here again

   The bar is raised pretty high to be a restaurant located within the precious walls of La Cantera. As a stand-alone cantina, Primero would be popular; but within this high-end resort, the challenge to deliver superior food, service, and ambience is quite a bit higher than the norm. So what are visitors led to expect? BETTER food. BETTER service. And BETTER ambiance! Granted, Mexican dishes are pretty predictable. That is where the challenge begins: creative beverage options, uniquely presented and prepared dishes, and comfortable surroundings. Our server, Andrea, was attentive until the end of the meal when we waited too long for the ticket. It was more than adequate , but nothing really special.

   Nice restaurant, not busy at all, we made a reservation but didn’t need it. They let us pick our seat. Food was pretty good

   We had to leave our table because no one ever came to serve us. Don’t waste your time here.

   We came to celebrate Mother’s Day for breakfast and we got the lunch menu, I requested one order of hot cakes for my kids and the front lady told me NO as answer and then she said that the breakfast restaurant was upstairs and it cost 70 dollars per person and I requested to try to order one small order of hotcakes and she said they are fully booked. I asked our waiter and she say YES I can do that. She was great we leave her a very good tip and she manage the way around and figure something for us.

   The quality of this restaurant has gone downhill significantly since the last time we were here in 2018. The queso dip appeared to be the kind that you buy in bulk, was lukewarm when it got to the table and became gelatinous very quickly. The guacamole was not homemade, and it was like the packs you get at the grocery store. The nachos were average, and the brisket tacos were greasy. The server was very friendly. I would not recommend this restaurant.
