Always a pleasure to dine at Restaurant X. The Restaurant Week lunch menu was perfect -- not too much food for lunch but just the right amount of each course. The service was lovely and accommodating -- our wait person was there when we needed her but did not hover over us.

We keep experimenting with other restaurants in Rockland, and invariably put Restaurant X is our top two. The ambience is distinctive with gorgeous flower arrangements - and a fireplace by the bar. The food is prepared by Culinary Institute chefs following the recipes of the national renowned chef Peter X. Kelly. The wine list is excellent. The staff is experienced in all the niceties. Finally, the prices are on par with other fine dining restaurants .... but the net experience is a helluva value. What's not to like?

Had been to the restaurant before and had brought a friend along as she was interested in the restaurant. She thought it was very nice and stated she would be back with her husband and children as well as tell others and come back soon. The food was very, very, good as well as the servers being so attentive. Much appreciated to the restaurant. It was amusing to see the little roosters running into the barn for what seemed like lunchtime for them. Glad to see the restaurant has survived the pandemic and is still running.

I always have great dinning experience at Restaurant X. I went there during Hudson Valley restaurant weeks. The food was absolutely delicious! The service and the value were amazing! I highly recommend this restaurant.

The food was great, but the restaurant was run down and old. It had a horrible musty smell. Broken lanterns and glass outside. Curtains hanging and falling. Dark and dingy. I was shocked. Took 45 minutes to get a drink. I honestly couldn’t believe the state of the restaurant.

The restaurant has a musty smell from the minute you walk in the door. Dated with no vibe at all. A large bar and only 2 people at the bar and eating dinner and it's a Saturday night. Must have been the place to go back in the day. One and done wouldn't go back.

We had such a great experience last night. The food was absolutely delicious. Our special cocktails were incredible, please try the chocolate martini!! The service was really what made the difference. Marybeth was just so courteous and attentive. What a nice touch to have chef/owner Peter Kelly come and check all of the tables to make sure everything was going well.

Loved the cozy, ski lodge type of antomosphere. The duck special was exceptional. Would definitely go back!
