Restaurant Martin is the embodiment of a of a 20-year dream to create the perfect balance of refined and comfortable. Chef Martin Rios, and his wife, Jennifer, envisioned a certain ambiance where people from the community as well as Santa Fe’s many visitors could enjoy Chef Rios’ award-winning progressive American cuisine. This family-owned restaurant caters not only to tourists, but to a large and loyal local clientele. Chef Rios has been repeatedly honored for his innovative and pleasing combinations of flavors, colors and presentation. His unique style emphasizes fresh, local produce and organic meats and poultry, and reflects not only Southwestern and Asian influences but also his classic training in French technique. His list of accolades include the following: Finalist in 2015, 2017, 2018 and 2022 for the James Beard “Best Chef of the Southwest” Award Semi-finalist for the 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 James Beard “Best Chef of the Southwest” Award.

    Truly outstanding food and service. The chef has been nominated for and won many awards and his food is incredible. Fresh, innovative, and interesting. I’ve had salmon at almost every restaurant in Santa Fe and no one can touch his interpretation. Sit on the patio if weather permits and try the prickly pear margarita. 🌺

    This is one of our very favorite restaurants in Santa Fe – and the dishes are so creative, yet they work - which doesn’t always happen at other restaurants. We sat on the lovely patio, got excellent service and love the spring pea soup, the new sumac-crusted shrimp appetizer, the duck and the chicken breast. We’re already planning our next visit…

    Always our top go to restaurant in Santa Fe. While all the dishes are good, the chef does all kinds of fish incredibly well.

    We arrived to a lovely porch setting, with attentive staff and a serene setting. We all enjoyed our beverages and food immensely. We highly recommend.

    The food was perfection as was the service. The chilled pea soup and shrimp appetizers were amazing as was the grouper special. A relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommend!
