Price: Expensive•French•4.9(153)La Palombe is a new neighbourhood bistro from restaurateur James Chiavarini (also of Il Portico) & chef patron Jake Leach (previously head chef at the three Michelin starred The Ledbury).
A large wood burning grill takes center stage where the majority of the dishes are cooked over live embers. James & Jake work together every shift to serve dishes with a real sense of terroir and provenance, including our speciality of wild foods foraged ourselves. Expect wild noisette venison, Wiltshire truffles (thanks to our house truffle dog Alba!), rare woodland mushrooms, and much wonderful produce from our small organic farm in Kent.
The wine list is sourced entirely from independent producers, and regularly updated with a specialised focus on low intervention, natural and biodynamic wines.
We are across the road to the Design Museum & Holland Park, a 10 minute walk from Kensington Olympia and a short distance to the Royal Albert Hall.
Clarke's Restaurant
Price: Very Expensive•Modern European•4.9(383)Opened in 1984 by passionate chef Sally Clarke, this local legend on Kensington Church Street has become a firm favourite with professional critics and amateur gourmets alike. Herbs and vegetables come from organic suppliers in South East England; buffalo mozzarella is flown in from Naples twice a week; and shellfish is sent overnight by rail from Scotland. Popular dishes include loin of Balmoral roe deer with apple and sage sauce; baked fillet of Cornish brill with datterini tomatoes and flowering thyme; dark chocolate and chestnut tart. Clarke’s is quite simply an unforgettable experience. The Ledbury

- OTOpenTable DinerBristol •1 review4.0Dined on Mar 22, 2025We we there for our wedding anniversary and Carlos was our server. He was the sweetest and kindest person I have ever come across at a restaurant. It was our first visit, he didn't know us but he treated us so well and even got us a complementary dessert. Such team members are an asset to the team. Having said that we had an encounter with other members as well and they all were equally nice. The food was okay so one reason we might not visit wahaca again but if it was for the team and atmosphere I would give is 100/100 Thanks carlosMore infoWahaca White CityPrice: Moderate• Mexican• Shepherd's Bush•4.6
- Jjoseph-benjaminLondon •4 reviews4.0Dined on Mar 3, 2025Had a fantastic meal at Chet’s, a Thai-Americana gem in Shepherd’s Bush that blends the bold, smoky flavors of Southeast Asia with the nostalgic comforts of a classic American diner. I went for the BBQ Rice Bowl with Grilled Aubergine (£12)—a deliciously smoky, well-balanced dish that really hit the spot. My friend had the Tuna Melt (£16), and wow, this wasn’t your standard sandwich! The tuna larb filling, packed with mint, coriander, red onion, and Kewpie mayo, was next-level. Add melted American cheese and a crispy, golden bread exterior, and it’s easily one of the best tuna melts I’ve tried. The coffee was great, rounding out the meal nicely, though I wasn’t the biggest fan of the crisps on the side—just a personal preference. Overall, a fantastic spot with unique flavors, a cool vibe, and well-executed dishes. Would I return? Absolutely.More infoChet'sPrice: Moderate• Thai• Shepherd's Bush•4.2
