   The older hostess was rude and uncooperative. We were put in the fireplace room. With bad allergies we could not sit there. She would not move us. She told us to wait. When there were many empty tables. The younger hostess came to our rescue and seated us at a suitable table.

   Have dined AT RATS dozens of times over the past 20 years. The food was exceptional. The weather was perfect. The view was spectacular and for the first time ever here, my waiter was atrocious. Reservation for 6 o’clock - at 8 o’clock my party waited for 40 minutes so we could place an order for dessert and coffee. Waters were not refilled and I eventually went hunting for the waiter for the check, no longer interested in dessert. My waiter took exception to me looking for him, and followed me back to my table and yelled at me. He actually yelled an apology at me after taking my plate of leftovers and slapping them into my takeout container, some landing on the glass table. At this point I was not asking for his help and was attempting doing it myself. I told my family that he was down to a 10% tip, but after the yelling, I was so nonplussed I did not leave a tip for the first time in my 69 years. Screw my waiter with his terrible attitude, typical for a MAGA individual. AS MY FAMILY WERE LEAVING, HE CAME AFTER ME AND SCREAMED. AS GOOD AS THE FOOD WAS, I WILL NEVER EVER EAT AT RATS AGAIN. THANK YOU FOR ASKING ABOUT MY EXPERIENCE. What has become of this once fabulous restaurant? PHILIP RIESCHICK.

   Small salad , quite good except for the grilled chicken which was hard burnt, and overcooked , The watermelon cooler was delicious and refreshing . Turkey sandwich was excellent .

   We still are awaiting an updated menu. The burger should not just be on the menu for lunch.

   I have been to Rats many times. This time the food has food has definitely gone down and I was very disappointed. Seward Johnson would not be pleased with the fact that the restaurant is slipping. GFS is always a pleasure, but I cannot say the same for Rats.

   The patio by the water is where we sat and it was a perfect setting. The menu was more limited than I am used to but it had some great choices. This restaurant is beautiful, staff was great. Would definitely go back again.

   The food was the WORSE food ever services. The duck was extremely tough, the steak was very fatty and the roasted potatoes were raw. The service was extremely slow and he never checked on us. We are members of Ground for Sculpture and had gone to Rats in the past and the food and services was excellent. Now I won't feed the food to my dog.

   I'll keep this brief and to the point. Our waiter seemed like he was high, he would say he was going to get something for us and then not come back. This happens a few times. The table was not clean, the food took an hour after we ordered to arrive at the table. And the menu had very few options. Want a steak? Hope you want a $60 steak, because that's all they have. Want some fish? Hope you like halibut. The place seems to be going downhill. I've been there before and it was much better than this.

    The waiter was very nice and efficient. The foods a bit overpriced. Great atmosphere.
