   I really wanted to like it but it just fell short. Went for brunch and the food was all flavorless. The best thing we had was the quac and queso! There was hardly any gravy on the biscuits and gravy. We had to ask for an additional side. Which we regret as it was mainly grease! I was excited about the juevos rancheros and when it came out the presentation was great. However, it had no flavor! I asked for over easy eggs and they both were well done. No yoke which hindered the flavor even more. We won’t be back.

   Waiter had trainee. Trainee took order. I asked for no onions with fajitas. Trainee asked waiter how to do that. Waiter and trainee argued at the table for what seemed like a lifetime about the possibility of it not being able to be done. Killed the entire vibe. Left very unhappy.

   Please train hosts on how to read the customer. We’re older and in our 60s in a first date. We would have liked a warm cozy space. But they don’t understand that. Thankfully, we decided to just sit at the bar and had a wonderful time talking. And the noise level was way too loud for us. It was quieter at the bar.

   WE LOVE LOVE LOVE Z TEJAS! Our visit began with Mason who was so friendly, knowledgeable, and made us feel so welcome. Michael our server was fantastic!! He suggested menu items for both of us and we loved our food and our drinks!!! What an unforgettable evening and we will definitely be back! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

   Chile rellenos need to be 86ed. It was a mess on a plate. I ordered one drink which arrived quite rapidly, but the second drink took about an hour to arrive. Waitress said the bar was backed up. My first experience at this restaurant was five stars across the board. This time, I had to bring it down to 2 stars.

   Food service came out very slow. We waited almost an hour after our entrees were ordered for them to be served, and that only happened after we asked how much longer they’d be. Our food was warm at best. The restaurant was busy, but not overly so and there appeared to be plenty of waitstaff, but even at that our server wasn’t attentive.

   Z Tejas feels like a chain restaurant. It used to nave more character. I was hoping for a similar experience/ vibe Z had previously

    Service was extremely slow and the food was ok. The appetizers were better than the main dish.
