   Had a reservation for 6 booked over a week in advance at 545 pm. The experience started with not being greeted for over 10 minutes. My husband was just about to get up to say something when he came over and said he had been trying to het to us and couldn’t. While friendly and helpful ordering since we were ready that was pretty much the last of him we saw. We never were quality checked, my daughter the birthday girl sat without drink refill after finishing appetizers and was never offered until done with dinner. We had to pretty mich flag him down to request boxes and our check adter sitting another 20 minutes being finished. When making the reservation we told them we were celebrating a birthday and after 10 minutes requesting a check they decided to bring the dessert. At this point 30 minutes from completing dinner and it was time to go. No apology or acknowledgment from even the manager who clearly was asked to jump in and help. We spent almost $300 and it was clear we were NOT important. There must have been a business party or something much better. Very unfortunate as it’s my daughter’s favorite restaurant but even she said she would not return. Over the last few years service continues to decline and last night was the worst. It’s unfortunate to have this experiences but especially when you’re celebrating a birthday.

   I believe Zinicola remains one of the top Italian restaurants in Charlotte. Consistently excellent food.

   The food was excellent and service wonderful. We had two of the specials which were great. The wine list was ample and had a nice variety, I was able to sample a couple before making my choice. The servers were great, friendly, knowledgeable and very pleasant. I will definitely return.

   We have now dined here twice and have thoroughly enjoyed it both times. The pasta is freshly made, and you can taste it. The service is excellent, and they make sure you are well taken care of. The bolognese is rich, flavorful, and plentiful. It’s some of the best we have had. The seafood black capellini is a unique and delicious dish. The pasta is flavored with squid ink. The wine list has high quality and good value wines. We have not been disappointed. The Italian wines we got each time were delicious and ones we have not normally seen on other wine lists. Both times we sat at one of the chef tables so we could watch the chef and the activity in the kitchen. We really enjoyed that. The staff was very friendly and attentive. We are looking forward to dining here again.

   Excellent food & service. Even though we arrived late due to traffic they help our reservation.

   Server was great but not knowledgeable about the entrees. Food wait time was slow. Food was good. Would come back.

    Highly impressed by Zincola’s food and service. The pasta was gorgeous and the wine was perfect! My husband and I just moved into the neighborhood and this restaurant will surely be on rotation.
