   The quiet night on the taxes day. I think they only have one server so the service is a little slow. The food was great. The service charge is included 20% even it only for 3 people.

   Food was excellent, wine and our sever Atesh made for a extremely enjoyable experience. 10 out of 10! Will be back

   Our group of 4 had small plates in the bar while listening to piano jazz. We had excellent service and enjoyed conversation with our waiter who was very personable. The tapas dishes were very interesting. Our favorite was crispy polenta with shrimp in a delightful sauce. Desserts were full of rich chocolate and tiramisu original. If you are staying in the area if union square, we recommend this restaurant.

   2nd time and so brought colleagues from Denmark to enjoy. Our waiter was wonderful!

   We totally enjoyed our food from the appetizer to the main to the dessert - all were delicious and top shelf. Jazz music was provided by Jerome on the piano and Bill on the base. They both sang as well! It was a super nice evening. We enjoyed every little bit. We're looking forward to returning.

   The food and service we excellent. 5 stars! But thing to be aware of is there is a total of a 25% surcharge on your tab that is listed as 5% of something in 20% of something. We even added two main courses to go and they added 25% on top of the two main to go courses!  When we asked the server if gratuity was included, we were given something to read that was two paragraphs long about what the service charges were, but they aren’t called “gratuities” which made it feel like he thought we should give him gratuity on top of the 25% of our tab already added!  all in all we had a tab of about $700 for a party of 4, for only 4 cocktails, a couple of appetizers, and 3 mains. Plenty of other experiences I would choose for $700 for a party of 4 in the city than a really good Italian dinner. 3/31/25 update / reply apologies you are correct the full $ was overstated as the final total was closer to $650 rather than $700. The biggest disappointment was that the service charge was added to the two mains that were bagged to go, and we weren’t aware there would be a total 25% total added to the bill at the end, until the end of the meal. As a customer I look at the total amount to include the taxes and service charges when thinking about the value of a meal/experience. Again the food and service was excellent, and just wanted to forewarn future diners to be ready for an additional 25% total added charge however it is broken down. Especially if from out of town, it’s helpful to be aware before deciding perhaps what or whether to order…making an informed decision.

   Many thanks for your feedback. We appreciated your kinds words about food and service. We, however, are surprised about value score. Total was exaggerated as it was $650 ($500 food; $100 tip; $50 taxes), including one pappardelle togo for son at home. Our server clearly said hospitality tip included and the 5% is a healthcare tax, a common practice in SF restaurants. Check included 4x Sparkling Water, 3x Grey Goose Marini, 1x Penicillin Cocktail, 2x Octopus Carpaccio, 1x Baked Mozzarella Prosciutto, 1x Bread Service, 1x Lamb Chops, 4x Beef Short Rib Pappardelle della Nonna, 1x Tiramisu, 1x Bread Pudding, 1x Chocolate Fudge. Essentially a three course lamb and beef meal with drinks for 4 guests and a togo order for $500. Plus the complimentary arrival prosecco. Hope this makes sense.

   We were there to celebrate our dear friend Deb’s birthday. We had scheduled Zingari’s in February, but a Cat 2 storm interrupted our date… until, today. Birthday Deb wanted a Zingari experience. So we were seated in the cozy Jazz room with jazz playing in the background. Our lunch started with a Prosecco toast to our celebrant, Deb. Our meals commenced with Zingari’s myriad of house cocktails. Yea! Must try should you go. We chose to do family style lunch for our table to share. Two appetizers: smoke salmon tostini’s and figs on mascarpone cream cheese toast: Yum, delicious! Our entrees of eggplant lasagna with gnocchi’s and a Petrale sole plate - Every scrumptious morsel was devoured delightfully. Needless-to-say, we couldn’t leave without tasting a few of Zingari desserts. Birthday Deb decided on the house special, tiramisu; whereas, bread pudding and affogato was order for the table along with coffee and capuchino. A dessert wine of Brachetto d’Acqui was given on the house to toast our finale. Perfecto! Our honoree Deb and entourage give five thumbs up on house beard pudding. By far one of the very best, yes it was yum delicious, in San Francisco. Bravo Chef! Great meal. Love the ambiance. The service was outstanding from our waiter Nee (Neucheri sp ?), who was hands down phenomenal and very generous with his attention. Thank you Nee for your wonderful service! We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, we were all very well satiated, and we do look forward to return for another wonderful experience. So, until… 🥰❤️🌺

    We were celebrating, and thrilled to get a nice table to listen to the wonderful piano music! Food was delicious, waiter was outstanding. Thank you! We hope to be back soon.
