Another great experience, my order was incorrect but they got my correct order out quickly and comped my meal, which was very nice.

Wait staff was charming and friendly but a bit forgetful, we had to remind them on 2 occasions that they had not brought us a couple items we had ordered. But, aside from that we enjoyed our brunch at ZINC.

Didn't notice that the menu was vegetarian when we made the res, but was very pleasantly surprised when we gave into the "no meat" idea and dove into the delicious menu. We want to go back now, just to try a few other items that we thought sounded good.

This is a very cool place, with a number of different dining realms. We opted for outdoor dining since it was brunch. The ambience was wonderful, the service great, and the food outstanding. As our first foray into the Arts District, we were a little unsure of what to expect on our drive from the freeway to the restaurant, but as soon as we saw the building and terrace, we knew we were at the right place. Need to come back Bar Mateo: looked very cool, but we would have never left had we started with Bloody Marys at 11:00 AM! But we will be back!

One of those out of the way gems, lousy part of town but an oasis, very surprising to see such a vibrant place in a location like this. They even had a celebrity! Food is excellent. We ate in a quiter back bar room but looked out over the well shaded patio. A great Saturday brunch!

Food was excellent, as was the atmosphere - but our waitress seemed more interested in cleaning the table and moving us along (when we could get her attention) - even though we were there for less than an hour and the restaurant was not full - she lost out on a bigger food and drink order - as well as tip.
