   Really cosy little place perfect for brunch and a catch up! Quiet and nice service. Great value as well.

   Lovely food and great smoothies. The initial reception was terrible - they didn’t have our open table reservation but we “could sit in the garden if you want”, which was a miserable space with bird poo on the tables. After we had placed our food order through the app and paid, we were told there was no haggis available - being visitors to Scotland we found this outrageous but they managed to scramble enough together for two of us to share some. We enjoyed the food in the end. The toilets downstairs are disgusting and the kitchen doesn’t look much better; we were glad we went after we’d eaten! Long story short, I’d have a takeaway coffee or smoothie from here again but not much else because the service was less than friendly/accommodating.

   Staff we’re uninterested, unhelpful and didn’t even check with us to see if we enjoyed our food, chatting was more of a priority. Food was bland and coffee was even worse, very bitter doubt anyone checked it. Had high hopes but the lack of cleanliness, staff interaction and menu items meant quality service and cleanliness were sub par. You’ll be wasting money if you chose to come here.

   I came here with my partner and two friends for lunch least not to see my two friends as my partner and I do not live in Edinburgh. When we arrived, we went through to the back room and both noticed and realised the young woman who was behind the counter was on her own, she was serving, washing up, clearing tables, and taking orders and she explained to us she had been let down 24 hours earlier by one of her colleagues. The woman did not complain and on behalf of my partner, my two friends and myself we thank her for all she did and the service she gave us. Due to the time of day and the issue which had let her down there was only a handful of sandwiches left and due to my partner and I arriving earlier we bought them as other guests had the same idea and thanks to your colleague, she explained to the other people we had put our order in first and the other guests did not complain or make a scene. The food we did have was tasty and served well and my party and I were happy. Before we left, we all used the toilet which is down in the basement and not easy to get too if you are tall as I had to lower my head as I walked down the stairs. The toilet itself was fairly clean as sadly the person who used the toilet before me had not flushed it properly, the sink also was not clean either which I wiped before using it, similarly there were a few pieces of toilet paper on the floor which I picked up and wiped the seat again before one of my friends used the toilet. All in all my party and I were fairly happy with our visit and would come again and yet on behalf of my party I would like to thank your colleague for all she had to do singlehandedly, and we wish her well as we did not get her name.

   The staff were clearly stressed, lots of people were waiting for their drinks and food for quite a while. Was told to order via the app but the app didn’t have the full menu on. The avo & egg on toast and hot choc was ok. The chef seemed unbelievably stressed when food came out.

   Full breakfast was absolutely delicious, couldn't fault it. Veggie full breakfast was perfect. Would definitely go back.

   Me and my girlfriend got 2 full English breakfasts and 2 coffees which came to £26 which is an average/fair price. The breakfast was very good and tasty! We left notes on the order and the order came exactly how we would’ve liked :) the coffees that we ordered were the best coffees we have ever tasted! The shop was very busy with people coming in and out and the downstairs could do with some decorating. Overall 9.5/10 experience! Staff were lovely and happy to have us. Great wee shop!

   Terrible service, complained to the girl, no response and chef had left the building. Our breakfast was not what we expected for the price we paid, which was paid for up front. We not recommend anyone to eat here.
