   Booking made on open table and all confirmed. When we arrived just before our booking time, the entire place was closed, and we were unable to get through on the telephone as it was just an answerphone each time we called. Left messages but received no reply. Think perhaps they have closed down but left the bookings open? Not a great experience as we had travelled 30 minutes to eat there and had to find an alternative at short notice.

   We were there the 2nd night it opened and were the only customers, so atmosphere was a little lacking, however it meant we got good service and delicious fresh pipping hot food, from a Spanish chef. The highlight of the menu for us was the calamari - but the croquettes came a close second. The yurt had a good range of wine (albeit supermarket bought), 3 adnams beers on tap and an impressive range of St Peter’s zero ales. Definitely worth a try if you want something different.

   Beautiful venue. Service very friendly and attentive - we were however the only people eating on a Saturday night which seemed odd and affected the general feel of the place e.g. there was not the buzz or liveliness of a busy restaurant. The food was ok but nothing special and did not reflect the price. Our waitress was probably the best part of the experience - she was welcoming, warm and helpful.

   Beautiful setting would go back for a drink. However booked afternoon tea experience and was not advised when we sat down that we would get no wraps, no scones - was only 2 small cakes and 2 quarter toated sandwich between 2 and was not a choice like stated on website. Was def not worth 26 pounds each although it was presented very well. Would have been ok for one . Offered a reduced amount to them which they agreed but they just blamed on chef that he didnt know you should have scones with afternoon tea ? ( although clearly on menu on open table) - I think to just pop for a drink would be good but I wouldnt bother with the afternoon tea as very disappointing .

   We had a really nice meal. We had a tasty, fresh and succulent squid to start, followed by monkfish and mussel casserole (standout dish), lobster tagliatelle, and a chocolate and salted caramel marquise. Really nice wines. Service was friendly, unobtrusive and relaxed. We left something in the table when we left the restaurant and the lady working ran out to the car park to bring it to us which was really appreciated. We dined outside looking out towards the trees and field which was really nice to be connected with nature whilst eating. The lighting was really nice as the evening set in. We dined with our 6 month old daughter and we’re pleased that this was accepted somewhere such as this. Tables were well spaced and there was plenty of room without feeling like we were intruding in other diners. This is a really nice place to eat. We’ll be back when next in the area.

   A peaceful setting with a quirky yurt serving great food. Very friendly and welcoming staff. We sat on the terrace which was only put up a few weeks ago and it had a lovely feel to it. We would go back again and hopefully visit the spa next time too

   Lovely place. Unique setting. Food was very good. Our Monkfish was undercooked but it was whisked off and replaced with a deliciously cooked and perfect dish. Flavours are outstanding. The desserts are slightly disappointing and don't seem that they are prepared by the same chef but this may be wrong. When more people hear about this it will surely be very busy.

   A little gem , the setting is beautiful , very relaxed , quality of food was exceptional , we had 3 different meals all excellent . There was a limited choice of about 7 meals but this appears to be the norm these days , no starters or sweets which was a little disappointing as we would certainly have had more . the whole experience for the 4 of us was faultless , we will be definitely be returning here soon.

    I had two good meals at The Yurt, however the last two times that I've booked the Yurt cancelled the booking mid morning on the day of reservation. I will not waste my time booking there again. I certainly would not recommend making a booking and being let down on the day.
