   Arrived with my family for our meal to get rudely told that they are overbooked and we can't dine with them. I wouldn't recommend this venue purely for the attitude that I encountered on the night from the said manager ( ruined our evening )

   It’s a lovely old traditional pub with fireplace and wood beams offering good food. The staff are very friendly, but unfortunately there are not enough of them so the service is not the best as I only noted 2 waiters running round for a large restaurant.

   Pleasant surroundings, mediocre food. Prawn & Lobster cocktail distinctly lacking in any notable lobster. Lots of prawns though. Disappointing lack of vegetarian meals. Veggie burger heavy, flavourless & stodgy. Did not bother with dessert. Service was fine after considerable wait to be seated despite advance booking.

   Warm and sunny Saturday so very busy and the staff were struggling to cope. Staff were very pleasant and did their best but there were not enough of them. This was a disappointing experience, especially for my two friends who had not been there before.
