I am extremely disappointed in my experience tonight. I sat outside to enjoy the happy hour AND the regular menu. Our server was good and the food was incredible. (Always is) that’s all that was good. I first ordered a ‘spress yourself. When the drink came out it seemed disheveled. I am an espresso martini connoisseur, this came messy and a little unappetizing. My partner ordered a bourbon on the rocks - normal order. What wasn’t normal was the glass came with some kind of waxy material inside the glass with the bourbon. We were charged for ICE! This was not specialty ice, this was water/coke/ice tea ice. These two drinks were not part of the happy hour menu, and we understood this. In our second round, I ordered a Welcome to the Jungle and my partner ordered a Count Offaly. He got the happy hour price - I did not. Both are on the happy hour menu. I also ordered egg ribbon soup - happy hour price $2 - we paid $6. I’m very disappointed and discouraged we were charged so haphazardly.

Hello Lindsey, I’m very sorry to hear that your experience did not go well last night. I love hearing that the food and service was good but obviously there’s more to the experience than that. Especially at happy hour. I will follow up with the team from last night to understand why the pricing would have been off. We do have an extra charge for “rocks” but the charge is for the extra .5 ounce pour that would go in a “rocks” pour versus a regular pour. I will also follow up with training on that to make sure it’s being relayed to the guest. I’d love to do more to make this right if you would reach back out to us.

Ate at Woochi last night downtown. We’ll never go there again. The staff was friendly, energetic, and polite. The food was unacceptable. It was overcooked, misrepresented on the menu, and in a couple of cases we didn’t actually get a full order. I was a big fan of Wu Chow, sorry to see it go…

This was my first time at Wu Chow and my companions second time. Since we went after 6PM we didn’t have problems finding free street parking. The restaurant was nice with light coming in through the front windows. I liked the mahjong tile wall. We both started with a cocktail. I ordered the Conblucius and she ordered the Tequila Mockingbird. We ordered vegetarian eggrolls, pork soup dumplings, the dry fried green beans and the Two-Faced Crispy Noodles with chicken and beef. The soup dumplings hold their own. I was divided on the noodles. There was good flavor but it seemed like the meat and veggies were unevenly cooked. I found the service to be good without hovering. I would be open to trying by Wu Chow again.

Food was great. Bit too noisy and service was not too slow. Friday / Saturday nights can be tricky with a large group of people dining but. I would be happy to go back always!

The food was amazing! Worth the wait for a late reservation. Service was great excellent. The Fermented Black Bean Chicken and Pork Belly dishes were awesome. Unexpected scratch dinning experience. Will be back for more on another visit.

I’m disappointed with the dumplings. They got cold within minutes of being served. And actually weren’t piping hot to begin with. They should all be served hot and in the wicker baskets to ensure they remain steamy. Ours were put on a plate. The flat noodles and beef was very good. The service was excellent.
