   We were seated in a table for two alongside a sliding glass wall that gave us a terrific view of Commencement Bay. We each had a house-inspired cocktail; they were both unique and very tasty. We shared an appetizer (wings), which also was uniquely flavored and delicious; there were four full wings in the serving, perfect for sharing. A finger bowl afterward would have been helpful. I had the Miso Cod, which was properly cooked, nicely presented and delicious. With this meal I had a glass of a very good quality NZ Sauvignon Blanc. My spouse had a piece of beef served with butter sauce on the side; it was properly cooked to her request and was delicious. We decided to share a dessert, a house creation called flan layer cake; it was a large enough piece for sharing and again was delicious. Service was attentive with multiple people assigned to various tasks (such as delivering food and beverages, clearing the table, bringing fresh tableware, serving water, etc). It was a leisurely paced meal; total time spent here was just under 2 hours. This was our first visit to Woven and we certainly plan to return.

   Absolutely fabulous dining experience from start to finish! All waitstaff were stellar as well....the best experience I have had on the Tacoma waterfront in 20 years. You created a magical meal for my friend's birthday. Thank you.

   Our only complaint was that there was only that the appetizer dip only came with a single piece of fry bread. Otherwise, the drinks and food were spectacular and the service was wonderful.

   The food was incredible. The black cod was perhaps one of the best dishes I've ever had. The service was excellent and enhanced our dining experience.

   This was my second experience. I visited in July 2024 and was not impressed. I decided to try again to give it time to find its vibe. I’m glad I did. I got the same meal and it was so much better. Actual flavor and tender short ribs. The others in my party enjoyed their meals as well. Keep it up & consistent. I’ll be back for sure!

   We had the Easter brunch with a reservation at 1:30. Most of the food was picked over with only small portions of the braised ribs, teriyaki chicken, salmon and potatoes left. Most of that food was dry and should have been replaced. Portions offered at the carving station were small and the lamb was so-so. Sushi rolls had been out for awhile and also should have been replaced. Rice was getting dry as well. Not worth $85 per head. In fact, what we had probably want worth $40 a head. Surprised that fresh food with appetizing volume was not presented. Very disappointing. Service was excellent as was our table - great view and since the restaurant wasn't full we had as much time as we wanted to sit and visit - which was the main goal of our visit. I don't think we'll be back for awhile. We could have complained, but why spoil our Easter. We'll stick to the real Roy's restaurants that we visit when traveling.

   I was very excited to try this place out so I made a reservation for Easter. When we got there we were told that they have an Easter brunch instead of the ala carte menu. We lived in Hawaii and had been to Roy’s on several occasions so we had high expectations of this place. Very sad to say, after brunch we all felt robbed of the $85 per person charge plus the automatic 20% service charge for a party of 5! This has to be the worst brunch buffet I’ve ever been too! I thought of complaining to the manager that day but did not want to spoil our Easter. The buffet table was very underwhelming. Most of the food were served on a platter - which made everything cold and unappetizing. The salmon, short ribs and chicken teriyaki were bland and dry- so dry that it was so hard to swallow! The dessert they had were fruits, parfait and another dry cinnamon roll. When I asked for the waffle, they said they are not refilling anymore at 1pm. Our server, was also not the most hospitable either. The 3 ladies at the front sent us a warm greeting on our way out which was the only nice thing that I can say about this place. I cannot express how much disappointing this place is. It doesn’t hold up to the quality we were used to of a Roy’s restaurant . We were looking forward to trying some of the Ala carte menu but after this experience I doubt we will be back.

   Sadly Brunch at Woven was a big disappointment. Perhaps it is there first attempt at a buffet but it was a fail. There were very limited options. Everything was overcooked and the flavors were very bland. Short ribs were completely flavorless and the salmon was overdone. Didn’t see much the matched the menu. Seemed like they were really trying to do it on the cheap. No beverages were included in the $85 pp price. It was not representative of the dinner experience I have had at woven in the past. There are many Sunday brunch options on Ruston Way and I would not choose Woven again.

    For the price of the Easter buffet, I found it extremely expensive and extremely disappointing in the food. And were no real desserts to speak of. I was excited and was expecting so much more since I have heard good things about Woven. It was my husband and I, and my grown daughter’s first experience and I’m not sure if any of us will come again for lunch or dinner.
