   Enjoyed wine tasting before dinner. Food was good.. some of the” outdoor” tables are not really outdoors, so if that matters then be sure to check when making reservations.

   My partner and I are always on the lookout for fine dining experiences in Auburn and surroundings, and Wise Villa Restaurant recently came to our attention. We made a reservation and invited a friend to come along. The restaurant certainly has all the trappings to be a fine dining experience: beautiful location, great wines, and fine dining prices. My partner and our friend were happy with their main courses of clams and ragu. I ordered the salmon at $35 and was very disappointed. It was dry and tough and I only ate a few bites. The cauliflower sauce and vegetables, while artfully arranged, were not very tasty. When the server removed my uneaten food, he didn't inquire if I found it unsatisfactory, and just dumped it in the trash. Apparently the kitchen has no interest in what meals are not being eaten. The service was good, if a bit uneven and unpolished. I expected more from the restaurant since the winery seems to be a top notch operation. I guess we'll keep looking for other fine dining restaurants.

   We are never disappointed at Wise Villa. Excellent food, great wine, and a beautiful, picturesque location.

   Great food, ambience, service, views. Food and wine, for us, has escalated in cost to a point where we can only justify going for very special occasions, once or twice a year. If you have the means, then this will not be a concern. Special occasions for us is friends visiting that may are seen very infrequently. Dinner for four with wine, etc. and tip is about $100 per person. Of course, we could not have some things, but what i is s the point of going out? Bottom line, great place to take someone!!

   The food was amazing, wine was very good. The ambiance with views just perfect! The service was impeccable. The staff very friendly, attentive and helpful. They went the extra mile to help serve up a birthday cake we brought along to celebrate our friend as a special surprise. They even provided a card to her from the staff. How very sweet! We had a wonderful time and will definitely be back.

    We have been at Wise Villa winery many times for dinner. We are Wise Villa wine club members. However, today the service was extremely bad. Many requests were acknowledged by our server but were not completed. Very disappointing. While the food was well made and flavorful, the Salmon BLT was the size of a child’s meal. All in all, a very disappointing visit.
