   Visited as a party of 7,pub was very busy when we arrived at 7 .30pm. 2 members of our party were slightly delayed ,however we were informed that the kitchen closed at 8 which meant we had to order for them and hope they made it !!!! The food when it arrived was hot and well presented,and generous portions, ,however my chicken schnitzel came with 2 fried eggs !! I asked the waitress who informed me that it was stated on the menu,but she did take it back to the kitchen and removed them. On checking the menu later it states that eggs are an extra .There was live music on ,which we didn't realise ,meaning that it was very loud !! It was difficult to have a conversation whilst having our meal.I presume that was the reason for the kitchen closing. We were offered deserts but had a choice of only 2 !! The singer was quite good and everyone was singing along ,all in all we had a fun night and tasty pub food.

   Dear Colin, Thank you for your feedback. We're sorry to hear that the music volume affected your dining experience. We'll certainly review this to ensure a more comfortable atmosphere for our guests in the future. We do apologise that you couldn’t talk during your meal, however we did post on our Facebook page that there would be a DJ playing from 4pm - 8pm. We also called guests who booked a few days before to let them know that we were having live entertainment. We hope that this won’t deter you from returning to our pub in the future.    Received personalised service from the team on Sunday , really exceptional . Much appreciated. They went above and beyond to ensure we had our Sunday Roasts . Needless to say we will be back .

   The batter was very greasy and not crispy as should be on a chicken schnitzel . Was very disappointed

   Lovely traditional, homely pub. The staff are friendly and efficient, nothing too much trouble. Eaten before here and will be eating again in the future. Lovely to spend Christmas Day lunch in somewhere so nice. Thank you all for working so hard and giving up your Christmas to serve others. Very appreciated.x

    The restaurant was busy and fairly noisy, but expected at this festive time. The food was excellent, however waiting 40 minutes for starter to arrive wasn’t expected!
