   We were impressed by the good quality food and excellent value . I was disappointed to find that they had run out of Sunday roasts after booking a table -but will know to order one in advance in future .

   We had a family lunch date on this occasion and the pub was a half way meeting point. Service was very good as was the food except for the beef dinner, I didn't say at the time because the pub was busy , the roast potatoes were poor and obviously reheated as was the yorkshire pudding - deep frying to reheat a roast potatoe is a better option and frozen yorkshires take only 4 minutes and much tasier than the one that was plated.

   We went for Sunday lunch which was excellent . The staff were friendly and obliging. Would recommend it.

   Love this place. Its the only pub I know that no mobile signal works for O2 or BT so its great if you want the full attention of your teenage family. Overall food and service is excellent and its in a great location in Wales. We live in Buckley so try and get here as much as we can as we truly love the place

   We have been here for Sunday lunch several times, we took our visitors here who were also impressed, we love the rural setting and will definitely be back. till the next time .......

   Food is good, and they are happy to mix and match from the different menus on offer which is a definite plus. Wish more places had the insight for this. Vegetarian options were good, though obviously I would like more choice, even though I understand the logistics that prevent it. My partner had the roast, and the side veggies were cooked even to her perfection; coming from someone who Times her cooking to the half minute says a lot. We have been before, and will definitely go again.

   Whenever I am in the area I always take family friends here. However, my last visit was not up to the usual standard. The specials board said Stilton Mushrooms for £4.95. What arrived was ONE single mushroom with stilton on the top with salad. ONE! I am not talking a huge mushroom but a normal sized one. I told the waitress, the one mushroom was lovely but didn't think it was value for money. Her reply was 'it is just a starter'. I have had many mushroom starters across the UK and never have I only been given one mushroom for nearly a £5. The Sunday lunch was lovely and plentiful.
