   We walked in for a table, plenty of open seats but they said they weren’t accepting walks in but I was about to make a reservation on open table for in 10 Minutes… really bizarre and the food was just okay. Service was excellent though!

   Water Grill Costa Mesa is one of my favorite spots to bring clients for an exceptional lunch experience and for dinner as well. The atmosphere is classy and perfect for business lunches or special occasions. The service is consistently outstanding—professional, attentive, and welcoming. Their Sea Bass is hands down the best I have ever had—amazing every time. Keep up the great work!

   The food and service where as usual absolutely amazing. The only problem we’ve had , it was insanely loud. Lots of people and it was not only hard to communicate but our 5 month old was not taken it and my son had to leave with her. That was sad since it was his brothers birthday and our Easter all at once. However the food and the service made it worth the visit yet we have to calculate in the noise level for our next visit. There is nothing the restaurant can really do , people get loud and music maybe set the tone at first but it sounded like we were at a stadium. We’ve been told there was a play starting soon and people where going to leave but as soon as the tables where full again it didn’t make much of a difference. It’s just crazy loud when the restaurant is packed no matter where you sit. It’s an amazing place but prime dinner time might not be the way to go.

   Food was average, wait staff was pushy to get orders in, the sound level was so loud you couldn’t hear anything. Chilean Seabass completely overrated.

   Water Grill has a distinct below decks theme/vibe to it, but it’s classy and I dig it. Do not skip the oysters, which are awesome and I only like east coast shellfish! Also the fully composed fish dishes are super flavorful and not to be missed. Add in some great service and what’s not to love?

   I've been here several times since they opened, both with family and with work groups. My last few visits have been disappointing. The service was ok, but the food quality was poor. We ordered two dozen oysters and almost all of them had fragments of shell in them. When our entrees arrived, they were either room temperature or slightly cold. Some entree items were also overcooked and some were bland. It's a beautiful restaurant, and I like the ambience and decor, but we won't be back for dinner - could be ok for happy hour and apps, but that's even a stretch. We also had an issue with a piece of broken glass - the manager did try to help but the other staff (host staff) really didn't care at all. Aside from the manager and our server, the staff felt a bit pretentious.
