   Water Grill has a distinct below decks theme/vibe to it, but it’s classy and I dig it. Do not skip the oysters, which are awesome and I only like east coast shellfish! Also the fully composed fish dishes are super flavorful and not to be missed. Add in some great service and what’s not to love?

   I've been here several times since they opened, both with family and with work groups. My last few visits have been disappointing. The service was ok, but the food quality was poor. We ordered two dozen oysters and almost all of them had fragments of shell in them. When our entrees arrived, they were either room temperature or slightly cold. Some entree items were also overcooked and some were bland. It's a beautiful restaurant, and I like the ambience and decor, but we won't be back for dinner - could be ok for happy hour and apps, but that's even a stretch. We also had an issue with a piece of broken glass - the manager did try to help but the other staff (host staff) really didn't care at all. Aside from the manager and our server, the staff felt a bit pretentious.

   I've been there a few times but our waiter was the best this time. Great ambience and food as always was great.

   This is not my first time to Watergrill, but it may be my last. Extremely disappointed. We were party of 5, celebrating 2 birthdays. First of all we were seated at a booth that backed on to where they do the dishes? Highly unacceptable to seat anyone there, especially people who are celebrating a special occasion. The server very nice and knowledgeable, but I couldn’t believe how slow everything came out. I was there for 2 hrs 45 mins. Many people seated next to us, went to the bartender and said they had no idea where the server went. She was gone for long stretches of time. I finally said to her to bring the bill in advance of the dessert, because I couldn’t wait anymore. She said that she had something to deal with it, but it all okay now. Not sure if this was a dispute of some sort, but honestly a manager should have stepped in. Completely unacceptable in my opinion for a luxury restaurant catering to high end restaurant, especially when my bill was close to $500.00. I hope someone from mgmt takes the time to reach out to me personally, because this is one extremely unhappy customer.

   Came back to celebrate my daughter’s birthday after having such a great experience last time and was surprised by what a completely different experience it was. Whoever brought us our waters and bread really does not like his job. Oysters were dropped off and every single time before, they would go through and explain the order and type of oysters. Our food runner literally dropped it off and said you can view what oyster you’re getting from the sheet of paper. Another unhappy worker. Our waitress was pleasant however. We also got one bad oyster and although I declined, she did offer to replace it. The tuna dinner entree came with just 1 shitake mushroom, absolutely nothing else, as though they didn’t finish plating. I was so embarrassed when our out of town guest was clearly underwhelmed after I had raved about this place. I am a bit surprised by the inconsistency in service and food.

   We were given a very nice table. The waiter did not rush us and was attentive. The food was very good.

    Not the server’s fault as Beatrice was excellent, so we fear that we were given our booth long before she showed up for work, so my daughter and I had a long awkward moment of wondering why we were being ignored. We love Water Grill and always will. What a beautiful place to feel ignored, right?
