We postponed our anniversary dinner one night and came for the advertised violinist for "burger and bourbon" night. Unfortunately, there was no violinist. Despite that disappointment, we had a marvelous time thanks to some marvelous food and great service. Thanks to the restaurant for the complimentary glass of champagne.

Great historical location and atmosphere. Well maintained restaurant and facilities. The menu itself is well-rounded, drinks (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic were well prepared) - food menu leans toward conservative options. In both of our meals the flavor seemed to be rather lacking; that would be the only thing I’d say needs improvement. Good time overall 👍

The meal was delicious and service was good but unfortunately a table of four sitting near us were so loud and obnoxious it ruined the ambience. And Apparently the kitchen staff burned something that the odor became overbearing in the dining room. The one item that was very upsetting was when we used our credit card to pay they charged us 3.5% surcharge for using credit card without notifying us that it was their policy - upon research they are legally responsible to let you know that they have a surcharge prior. Upon further research i used a debit card and they are not allowed federally to charge a surcharge with a debit card. Lesson learned

Took a bit for our server to come To the table to take our drink order and they we waited quite a bit of time before they took our meal order. They were waiting on a large party next to us. Other than that food was delicious and our server was very professional.
