Wasabi Zen is a small, unassuming sushi restaurant. This little eatery is easy to miss as it is tucked in the back of a strip mall, but many locals consider it a hidden gem. The inside is decorated in typical Japanese fashion with paintings of geisha on the walls and decorative katanas for decor. Guests can either sit at one of the tables lining the wall or up at the sushi bar where Wasabi Zen's master chefs hand roll each order. Wasabi Zen specializes in sushi, but fans of other Japanese cuisine will find plenty to like here as well. Some of the specialties of the house include a salmon teriyaki, spicy tuna salad and Japanese wild mushroom soup. For dessert, diners should try one of the signature tempura or mochi ice creams.
