Wasabi Sushi Bar in Overland Park provides a comfortable, inviting atmosphere with dark wood colors and splashes of bright red décor. Comfortable booths lined along the wall ensure diners feel comfortable while chowing down on their delicious meal. Asian inspired art hangs along the wall and is highlighted by soft hanging lights. The Wasabi Sushi Bar menu offers an array of delectable Asian food dishes, appetizers, and sushi and sashimi. If you are in the mood for noodles, try the miso ramen. Everything tasted fresh, again, the food was delicious!! I already went again since my first time and I will be returning again soon!

Wasabi sushi bar did NOT honor the Open Table reservation made for 6:45 because they were holding the tables for 7:00 and 7:30 reservations. I DO NOT recommend this restaurant.

The maki rolls we tried were very good and an excellent value on Wednesday nights. Service was very good--our server, Ali, was hustling and took great care of us, especially considering the place was fairly busy. Look forward to having her serve us on our next visit. They obviously place a high priority on service and apologized for the wait (not all that long in our opinion, especially compared to other sushi hot spots in JOCO and comped an appetizer. I recommend passing on the calamari appetizer, even if it's free--very tough and a huge disappointment--they can take a lesson on calamari from that other JOCO hot spot for sushi. Their maki rolls did not disappoint! Mt Fuji, PlayGirl, and Kamikaze were all very good.

The wait staff were attentive and food was served quickly. She constantly check on us to make sure our drinks were refilled. No complains on the food. Quality is a slight notch above Haru's, Kyoto and couple of others in OP.

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                      A friend and I went on a Thursday and the restaurant was quiet so we were seated and waited on promptly. Their happy hour specials are endless and after selecting some rolls that our waiter recommended our food came out quickly. We were not disappointed with any of our sushi rolls and walked away stuffed! I highly recommend this secret gem. I'm always skeptical when it comes to a sushi restaurant but Wasabi did not disappoint. The food was fresh and delicious. This is my new favorite sushi spot!
