   I want to start by saying I really really wanted to love this place given the atmosphere, live music, and the positive reviews. We were seated by a waitress who seemed very dismissive and annoyed to the point of giving me the creepy crawlies. The waitress we had at our table was much nicer, however, seemed a little scattered. I did feel a bit rushed when trying to order, we had to ask for nearly everything we needed at the table, and we weren’t offered bread until half way through our entree. We also weren’t given oil or butter for the bread as all the other tables had- at this point i felt uncomfortable asking for oil or butter as we had asked for so many other items already. Our mozz sticks and my husband’s pasta was good. However, my Alfredo had barely any sauce on it. It was actually kind of dry and flavorless. Almost as if the kitchen put a tablespoon of sauce on bottom and topped it with pasta. I had to ask for and then add a lot of salt, pepper, and parm for it to have any flavor beyond the boiled noodles. Not sure if we hit an off night or just a busy Friday.. but I left still feeling a craving for good Italian food as my entree was very dry and flavorless.

   Katherine was our Server and, even though the restaurant was very busy, she was excellent! The food was delicious. It was the first time my friend had been here. She loved it and said she wanted to come here next time we go to lunch again.

   Wow. The restaurant was worth it for certain. Small, quaint, noticeably quiet, mostly mature clients, personal 🍕 was off the charts, meatball appetizer was succulent, the bread was 🔥 and delicious and accommodated with olive oil and black 🌶. The expresso ice cream scoop was divinely creamy, and the biscotti ice cream scoop was absolutely remarkable. Will we return? My description of our patronage to this location should answer that.

   Lobster Ravioli was great. The Chicken Marsala was not very good.

   Alex was our server ... He was pleasant and met our every need promptly. Food was absolutely delicious. Will be going back again.

   Volare’s is a hidden gem. The food is excellent, and the staff is young, energetic, and capable. The menu had changed slightly since my previous visit and so had the wine list. Prices were slightly higher and food selections slightly fewer, but it was still a good evening. My only complaint was the gelato. On my first visit, the freezer was down. On my most recent visit the gelato had an odd grainy texture and was far too sweet. It was disappointing, but I’ll still be going back again.
